Armed militia group waking down the streets of Louisville with long guns. Now if the police are enforcing the so called curfew they should force those militia members off the streets right? They appeared to be a white militia group. All but one wearing masks. Why are they allowed to roam the streets when police are clearing everyone else off?

Does that mean they get run of the streets? Do the cops just let them go? If they kill someone do the cops let them go just like Kyle Rittenhouse?

One Republican with some Libertarian leanings, unlike Democrats with Authoritarian leanings who seem to be in the majority in here.
Authoritarian Dems? Name one Democratic President in the last 50 years that has not only called for violence in his own country but has celebrated violence against others.

You are so covered in your own shit you can't even smell it.

Wife is watching the FB live. At 5:00 PM LMPD were shooting pepper balls at protesters walking on Bardstown Rd before the 9 PM curfew!

the druggie...

so, therefore, all further consequences, especially death, well desserved.

this is how people like you are created.

Sadly he even got that detail wrong as there was no one at that house that was a suspect or involved in the case. They thought breonnas ex was using the house for deliveries. The current boyfriend probably thought her ex was trying to break in. He certainly didn’t know it was the cops as evident by the 911 call.

So not only does maxima1 not care if the police are the jury, judge, and executioner but apparently he doesn’t even care enough to verify whether or not they deserved to die. I guess the little authoritarian supports the police no matter what they do.

I live in NC, and there are protests going on now here. Listening to police scanner, and they are disrupting traffic on I240 through town at the moment.

Live on a mountain facing downtown, and can hear what are probably fireworks intermittently. Left a casket full of dirt and manure in front of the PD.

Actually, they did knock and announce. That's why the druggie was able to shoot right away as the door came down.
Sometimes it is better to remain silent than to open your mouth and prove beyond any doubt you're a fucking idiot.

OBTW, anyone can yell "police". It's a common word and not difficult to pronounce.

Thankfully, its rainy and windy out. Maybe Seattle will be quiet. Nothing on local news.

Fair weather anarchists?
You're right. It didn't slow them down one bit earlier before the drought. So far all is quiet on the western front, but it would not surprise me that stuff happens.

I think when and IF the judge releases the grand jury testimony, to know what they knew, we would be able to have a better understanding. There are already things we know now we didnt know a month ago...i.e the police DID knock first, whereby they were fired upon. So its not as easy as they busted in and started shooting. We need ALL the info presented to the grand jury.

Still. Its a terrible loss.

There are 11 independent witnesses that contradict the police when they say they knocked and announced. There is exactly one witness other than the cops themselves that say the knocked and announced. Let also remember the cops tried to cover this all up and turned off their body cams.

It is abundantly clear the AG only brought forth the police’s side of the case and downplayed fall other evidence.

Like I said .. Release the grand jury evidence. Unless of course you believe the entire grand jury is racist.

I disagree, he likes the smell. But he really loves the taste of it more than anything.

Nope. The shit started about mid night when they declared it to be an unlawful assembly. This is in the Capital Hill district. There were a couple trash bins turned over and set on fire, maybe some windows knocked out, and Say My Name tags everywhere. Peaceful demonstrations occurred at West Lake Park with no incidents.

This probably deserves another thread but, the Governor of Kentucky who is a Democrat, just had a presser where he said the Grand Jury testimony should be released.
Maybe Wolfee could chime in if he sees this, but I think one of the biggest problems with our justice system is the secrecy of grand juries. I can see that they should be while in progress, that the actual grand jurors should remain anonymous. But why do we not now how justice is delved out in our so called free society.
You know, let the people see the justice sausage being made.

Given how easy it is to get an indictment, I can only assume there wasn't one because the prosecution made sure either the GJ didn't see all the related evidence orthe prosecution never wanted this to advance to a trial.

So this is a great point. There is a phrase that goes "if you wanted, you could indict a ham sandwich". When prosecutors fail to get indictments, it almost certainly is because they didn't really want to get the indictments. The grand jury process is a one sided show. There is no defense and prosecutors get to control what evidence the jury sees. Someone can be indicted based on 3rd hand witness accounts for example (I knew a guy who knew a guy who knew a guy stuff). To fail to get an indictment simply means they actually didn't even try rather than the jury simply declined to indict for murder or higher charges.
