Meeting at the mound. Next thing you know is that the player at 3rd was called out. It was the hidden ball trick, and it worked!

DEFINITLY will be on sportscenter. I was reading humble pie's story when it ahppened and had to unmute the game and laugh hysterically.
 
On Baseball Tonight they said that the pitcher can't be on the mound for the Hidden Ball trick to work, but I thought it was not on the rubber...since when is the mound of any significance when it comes to dead balls/balks/etc?

Anybody know what's the real deal?
 
hah, I saw the trick in the movie "rookie of the year." At first, I thought it was some BS thing for the movie. Now this is the first time I found out it's an actual tactic.
