"Teh Civic can nevAr l0se!"

That's right! I was the one who posted the Civic vs. Corvette video. 😉

Seeing as how the H2 sits on the Escalade frame, I'm not suprised. Not, the Hummer...Thats a different story.

Im confused, some people say its on a tahoe frame or even a yukon frame...what is it really?

Why?? Were you not 16?? He was just taking a shortcut.

You would think the hummer 2 would be tougher then that??, I bet that would not have been the case with the Orginal Hummer.

Just because I was 16 doesn't mean I was stupid.

I thought it was a surburban frame *L*

It is

"We share chassis and steering components with the heavy-duty 2500-Series Suburban and the 1500 Suburban," says Charlie Martin, the vehicle systems engineer for the Hummer H2 chassis and drivetrain. "But most of those shared parts have been heavily modified."

It's a freakin' chevy dammnit..never call it a "hummer"

A 'hummer' can plow through a friggen house

ROFLMAOPMPBAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

Man if I was that kids parent my kid would never touch one of my cars again and he'd be paying me for repairs for the rest of his life

suburban, tahoe, escalade, yukon, yukon XL, avalanche, and hummer all sit on basically the same GM SUV frame, with the hummer being the most modified of them all

The answer to your question is yes. They all share the same derived chasis.

GM obviously doesn't give a fvck in maintaining brands original identities as we can see from their great work done at Hummer and Saab.

You mean the H2 can't plow through houses??? In Bad Boys II they showed in annihilating an entire Cuban town 😛😉😀

Ehehe, reminds me of the other day where I was at a 4 way intersection. We were at a stop light, and on the other side of the stop light there was an explorer and a firebird behind it. When their light turned green the explorer just drove reguarly and the firebird let the explorer go and left a big gap between them. Then he tries to accelerate really hard to show off his car, he was speeding up to the explorer and he didn't stop and just smacked right into the back of the explorer. Our light turned green and we drove by and surprisingly some high school guy got out of the firebird.

Once again proving that teenagers should not be trusted with fast cars. Give them POS beaters until they learn how to drive responsibly....

Will insurance even cover the damages?

I was under the impression that they do NOT cover damage incurred while off-roading. I could be wrong here though. 😕

H1 vs. H2

For those that don't remember, this HMMWV accident occured on the installation I'm currently stationed at as an MP. Some paint scractches on the HMMWV/H1, that's it. The cable running across the picture was used to stabilize the HMMWV so that it would not roll.

I think it uses mixed and matched components from 1500 and 2500 chassises. One guy on that forum said has independent suspension in the back, which it doesn't. I believe it has axles front and rear.

IFS sucks on the hummer the a-arm is the same as on the 1/2 ton chevy. I've broken two myself on the 98' I had.

Anyway...Who has'nt taken thier parents car out...I always managed to be lucky and bring it back in one piece😉 Probably out of total fear of death if my father found out😛
