I've been running ME since beta (i know its dangerous to run anything beta from MS) ... and i've also been running 2k for a while ... and i used to run 98 since it was beta ... and se ...

Ive noticed no stability problems with ME
the mmedia stuff just wastes space ... but if you have tons of space ... who cares ... whats 50 megs

Win2k is gonna be the best for everything but gaming ... and dvd watching maybe (but thats not a totally arguable point ... i think more so personal preferance) ..

Win98 SE is quite stable ... and if you like it stay with it ...

winME is built off of the win98 engine which is built on win95 engine ... lots of bugs yes ... but its not too bad

i have had no major complaints with it since i started running it in July

only problem i had is tvout wouldnt work with my Viper II card .. but it works fine on my Geforce now ...

also .. i have not had a BSOD on this machine in at least a week ... and im running an overclocked system with ram thats running over spec, and the vid cards slightly oc'ed ...

if i get a BSOD im not gonna blame it on windows .. im gonna check my config ... and try to correct it

if you are getting BSODS ... perhaps the hardware is out of date .. or system is not configured properly ... dont always blame it on the OS you just installed for the first time.
