CraigRT/WinkOsmosis: They're pretty close to the same speed. The power loss in the auto vs. the lack of it in the manual makes all the difference. The 5.9 R/T dynos at 207HP to the rear wheels, the 4.7+5 speed dynos at 204HP to the rear wheels.

Edit:
Although the 5.9's torque curve is wider than the 4.7's. The weight break that the 4.7+5 speed enjoys (both are lighter than the 5.9+auto) counters it. The R/T DOES handle better out of the box, though both are improved to a dead heat when a Hotchkis kit and wheels+tires are added, as all the differences to the suspension become null.

No the car is fine. I figured using regular is better since the engine is old.

I wouldn't change it. If it's been run with Mobil 1 for a long while I would just stick with that. It certainly isn't going to harm anything to keep using a great product. If it's not leaking then I wouldn't mess with other products. Make sure you only use high quality oil filters also.
