3D Mark Scores for 9800GTX 512mb
Steelsix posted in the 9800GTX Specs, I decided to repost under its own main post.

I hope nRollo gets off the Non disclosure and can speak about these rumors. I really hope they are not true..but the more and more I see..

Think this is fabricated or not?

I don't know if its real or not, but usually Nvidia launched their high end next gen product first then follows it 6 to 8 months later with the mid range and low end. This time around, they released the midrange first and follow with the high end a month or so later. Curious.

That is what probably everyone expected from this card, after all is just another G92 with some megahertz in plus. I really hope ATI will do some great work with their next generation cards, because Nvidia is starting to disappoint in the high end area.

I'm sure that with such a low score, the card will perform less then expected in directX 10 games also.

All these "not-so-spectacular" pieces of information on the supposedly higher-end GeForce 9s are making me continue to think that I should go 9600GT SLI.

Still possible but I wouldn't be too sure.

Most of the info I've gotten from them have turned out to be fairly accurate.

@cheex I agree 9600sli or 8800gt sli looks really good right now considering it can beat a 3870x2 for 340-400 bucks.

Nvidia really wants to sell those mobo chipsets!

I agree. It's clear that nV is focused lower cost SLI configs. Four months ago we were bitching about needing a new flagship. We were warned that midrange was it. And here we are, very decent SLI performance for $400.00. As the roadmap solidifies, SLI 9600GT is hands down the smartest option. What a nice card for the money. Damn sweet looking too. Cheex, the time has come. Buy two and call it a day... ;)

Regarding the GTX scores, too few details to get excited about, though I do beleive we've seen accurate specs. Best case scenario we'll see good drivers at launch that will help with scores. I have two G92 GTS's. If GTX is nothing more, I'm done for now.

yeah but not for 180. goto hotdeals and get 2x the $169 supercharged version, or 2x the $196 8800GT

nVIDIA was capable of making a 9600GT w/ 64 SP compete with their 8800GS w/ 96 SP and 8800GT 256 w/ 112 SP. I hope that, despite these tests, the 9800GTX will be the same way.

Other than that, I'm bored and I will probably end up buying 3x 9800GTX in Tri-SLI (I know I should go dual 9800GX2's for that price) but I know the drivers will suck for a long time. We'll just have to see what I do with my money. :p

@pctc2 with $1200 of gfx card money to burn: 3 9800 gtx, dual 9800gx2, dual 3870x2, OR- wait a little and see if you can pick up dual 4870X2 Rv770's. (don't know the release date yet).

good luck, either way your $1200 of graphics power will be the closest thing at AT to running Very High Crysis at decent framerates.

The guys over at NVNews.net reported it a fake.

The Device ID almost matches a 8800GTS 512MB (G92) The Device ID is 10DE - 0600

Personally with all the rumors and false info out there, I'd rather wait till AT gets a hold of a 9800 GTX before I decide whether or not it's worth the buy.

Also personally I won't give a crap how it scores in 3DMark as long as it performs well in the games I'm interested in.
