Maybe coz you haven't seen 4K HDR yet? It's seriously amazing and 4K OLEDs are not that expensive anymore. But if you gonna get something for a bright room, go with mini-LED QLED with 1000 nit highlights. Otherwise, you won't get to see what all the fuss is about. Here I am with my 2014 55" 1080p Samsung LCD TV, still happy as a clam.
Cos I go big with everything. ooops. A 65" TV is 140-150cm wide, this thing is 230ish. For reference, the wooden "stand" is 200cm wide.Looks like 65-inch.
Gawd damn that's a big ass TV.

When you go into the specs, a lot of the cheap bigger size TVs skimp on LED brightness. Having a 75 incher running at only 300 nits, that's gonna be basically invisible during the daytime. That said, it is really incredible what has happened to LCD TV prices, especially if you just want real estate without too many fancy buzzwords strung off it.
Spread in quality is what amazes me, while the low end is crazy with 4k $200 screens, market is still active at $3k.
OTOH I watch the bulk of my media on a cell phone.
