Here I am with my 2014 55" 1080p Samsung LCD TV, still happy as a clam.
Maybe coz you haven't seen 4K HDR yet? It's seriously amazing and 4K OLEDs are not that expensive anymore. But if you gonna get something for a bright room, go with mini-LED QLED with 1000 nit highlights. Otherwise, you won't get to see what all the fuss is about.

Have the 98C735, which is the non mini-LED version. Pretty darn nice. Have 65" OLEDs elsewhere in the house. Love the OLEDs, but the 98" is great for "spectacle". Definitely get the mini-LED version if you're thinking of it.

Upgrade to a 55" 4K for $188 lol:

Even has a Roku built-in!

- Next upgrade is to an 55" OLED or mini-QLED as was suggested earlier, probably at this TV's 10 year anniversary (2025).

The current Samsung will go downstairs and bump off a 32" Toshiba as the gaming TV.

That said, it is really incredible what has happened to LCD TV prices, especially if you just want real estate without too many fancy buzzwords strung off it.

When you go into the specs, a lot of the cheap bigger size TVs skimp on LED brightness. Having a 75 incher running at only 300 nits, that's gonna be basically invisible during the daytime.

Spread in quality is what amazes me, while the low end is crazy with 4k $200 screens, market is still active at $3k.

OTOH I watch the bulk of my media on a cell phone.

I went from Sennheiser HD-650's & a Headamp headphone amplifier to just playing music on my iPhone next to my pillow at night. Meh. lol.
