looks like its back in stock, OP updated

Mysteryozo - Thanks for pointing out the 9800 Pro AIW. Looks like the Clearance version is no OOS. Description says same thing as the 9700 AIW about no accessories included.

Also may I ask what happened to your Gainward ti4400? Did the fan die first? Did you just get a blank screen one day?

Vital - We're sorry about this. Times like this are what Newegg's return policy is for, I'm sure they'll take it back.

arswihart - Well first I installed an el chepo 580 Powmax Demon PSU that gave up after about 1 month. After a week my 512Mb twinmos DDR400 went dead. Then my Gainward followed them to the graveyard after about a couple of days. Wondering if it was all related to the PSU?
I still have to see if my tech can revive the PSU and VC. The mem was replaced by a local store here in Manila. My system just won't boot with that Gainward installed.

vital-look on the brighter side - now you can send it back and hope that the replacement will now come with all the accessories or if its OOS, maybe you'll have better luck and end up with the upgrade 9800 Pro version. Good Luck!

Wow, i would blame that on the psu, not that I've had experience, but all your components dying like that, it just sounds typical. Sorry to hear that. I asked cause I have a ti4400. I've always used Antec/Enermax PSUs, and I have an Arctic cooling NV1 on the ti4400. I'm hoping it lasts another 4 years at least. Cards like that and this 9700 pro (and the 9500 pro) are such capable video cards, its amazing how they just get tossed off as relics when the new cards come out. They're perfect for parents/friends computers that you are helping to build.

BTW looks like 9700 pro is OOS now, check back later.

My 9700 AIW arrived yesterday. All I got was just the card nothing else.

L@@ks like I get to keep my perfect record on refurbed video cards from newegg.

I've ordered over 5 from them over the years & everyone of them has come with absolutely nothing but the card. :(

However I've never had a defective or DOA card yet either. I'll check this one out this weekend.

arswihart - My buddy was able to place an order for me for the AIW 9700 PRO for $100. I'm just waitng for his report if my unit will have the accessories. It would also be nice if uwannawhat will let us know soon if he also got the accessories.

As for my Gainward, hmm I'm hoping my local tech can resurrect this unit. I had to go out of town yesterday. Entertaining some in-laws from Houston. That means I got to wait till next Saturday to see my Tech buddy

uwannawhat - you may want to look into this, but its currently out of stock

http://www.svc.com/nvid-vc2adp.html

Does anyone here have a spare DVI to VGA adaptor you might want to donate to me? I'm getting some bad vibes that my unit will most likely arrive without the accessories too. I'm preparing myself for this heartache!

That video adapter cable looks like its made by nVidia, but maybe its still compatible with this card, I don't know.

uwannawhat - Sorry to here you didn't get any accessories. You're just the second person, however, who has not gotten any accessories, while five people claim to have gotten ALL the pictured accessories.

I have updated the OP with a tally of people who've received ALL the accessories. Looks like with this refurb., you are playing the lottery as to if you get all or nothing!

Mysteryozo - Please let us know if you get all the accessories, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

MScott81 - Wondering if you got the accessories or not, I saw that you said you ordered one but we haven't heard any results. Thanks.

Looks like the 9600 aiw refurb is in stock for $70 with $1 Fedex Saver shipping in case anyone is interested.

One quick question abour refurbs, looks like from the website that returns are possible on refurb items, so if you get one and it doesn't have the cables can't you return it?

not if it works. They only take returns on defective items. I managed to get an RMA on a itx shuttle barebones by saying it was defective because it was missing the PCI riser. This was years ago, tho, and times have changed. nowadays you would need to be less than honest to get them to RMA a working card.

I was lucky in that the accessories came with mine, but I can't for the life of me get the remote to work. The USB dongle gets recongized, and the light on it lights up... the light on the remote lights when a button is pushed, but the PC seems to never get a signal from it. As far as software goes, there is one file that can't be found during the remote installation (x10something.cat). That file is not on the installation disc that came with the card, and I have only been able to find one reference to that file in a google search (and it didn't relate to an ATI product). Trying the newer updated remote software drivers didn't help. I don't know if the remote is bad, the dongle, or if that one file that was skipped during the driver install is the cause. :(

It may very well be that one file. I know that x10 is the company that does the remotes for the ATI aiw, so it sounds like that might be the problem.

Mysteryozo: I ordered on 6-9, and they shipped it right away.

kmac: Yes, the fact that that file can't be found makes the driver install suspect. But it's odd to me that the file can't be found on the disc, nor in the install from the updated drivers online. If the file in question is necessary, yet missing from both sets of driver installs, you'd think there'd be more messages on the net regarding that file (just can't remember the exact name of the file right off). I've also searched the rage3d forums, and can't find any reference to it there either. There were several x10something files on the driver disc, just not the exact name it was looking for. I'm going to have to contact ATI. The whole point of buying that card was for the TV functionalilty for the system in my bedroom (I already had a regular 9700pro). While the TV portion works, it's kind of a pain to watch TV from bed w/o a remote.

this doesn't really sound like your problem, but might help. try this:
My Remote Wonder crashes and software does not respond anymore !
Problem with x10net.dll driver (the USB reciever driver) for the ATI Remote Wonder crashing and not allowing to use the remote as the software would not respond after the crash...
Apparantly there has been a workaround for this problem using original x10 drivers found at the x10 support website @ x10 link Downloading the x10drivers.exe file WILL fix this problem without any problems or complications, as it is ONLY the drivers for the USB reciever and should have no implications for using it.
Proof of this has been found in this post @ Rage3D.com.

My buyer informs me today that he shipped my order to me last Friday via air frieght. Should get it today or tomorrow. He was not able to check content(s) of package from Newegg. The suspense is killing me!

Just ordered the 9800 aiw yesterday. It's going to ship today. Probably get it tomarrow or thursday. I am hoping I get the accessories but I doubt it since I was probably one of the last ones to order it. BTW the deal is now dead again.

Those of you that are looking for a DVI to VGA adapter you may want to consider a DVI splitter, DVI to DVI and VGA. If you are thinking of dual monitor support. You'll need the CAT. 4.5 drivers but both the 9700 and 9800 will support dual monitors. The newer drivers do not support this feature. Linky

For everyone who buys this, please post whether you receive all the accessories or not, thanks. I'll keep the tally in the OP updated.

Both products are currently OOS.

I got a refurb 9800 pro from newegg a month or so ago that was dead, returned it np, so I ordered an aiw9800 figuring my luck has to be good on this one, with the nf7s v2 refurb for 50 from another thread here and a 2500+m chip, this is going to make a sweet htpc for the bedroom real cheap. I'll keep you posted on what it comes with, was in stock still today.
