9500np AA Artifacts

Hi all, looking for some help here.

[system specs in signature]

First off, I am not overclocking any part of the system at all; well not right now anyway. I've been getting artifacts in all of my DirectX games. These artifacts have something to do with AA, like I'm actually seeing the area around the edge of the polygons that would be smoothed if AA was enabled. Again this ONLY affects DirectX games, OpenGL games like Quake3 and Wolfenstein are fine. From my experimenting the only two things that affect the artifacts are:
1) Using the Omega Corner Hacked Drivers
2) Enabling AA - even just if 2x - AF has no impact

Now maybe I'm just too picky but I don't really want to have AA enabled reguardless of if there is a performance hit or not. I find it makes things blurry, and just generally bugs me.

Now enter the exception: Planetside. Planetside shows the artifacts worse than most games, but is unaffected by forcing AA in the drivers. Also, Planetside HATES the omega drivers - Hardlocks to a bluescreen - not even any text on it.

Not I have the rage3dtweak installed and have systematically gone through all the options under Directx and the only thing that affects the artifacts is forcing AA enabled.

I have tried Disabling fastwrites, setting the AGP to 4x mode, disabling hyperZ and just about anything else I could think of to get this resolved.

Screen Cap of the artifacts:
Warcraft 3 - Frozen Throne
UT 2003

Any observations/suggestions/verbal thrashings welcome if it helps correct the issue
Thanks

If you're using Omega's drivers, did you enable the 9500 -> 9700 softmod hack when installed them? If you did, your artifacts maybe due to the fact that your particular card is unsuccessful at modding into a 9700.

Also, the creator of the drivers said not to run any other tweaking software because they interfere with his 'special' settings.

Well, I had had enough so last night I formated my pc and reinstalled Windows 2k. That seemed to take care of it.
I'm thinking there was a bios setting that the hacked drivers might have set that wasnt removed correctly or some other left over file from the Omega drivers.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
