It's great that the dude was able to make such a shot but something about that doesn't feel right. Why kill something just because you can.

i've enjoyed some primo backstraps but "sport" hunting is a means for psychopaths to get their murderous jollies. it's no different from the desert storm vets that took out camels with m2's for kicks. hey, you demented cowards, get in a cage with something that has a very good chance of tearing you to shreds. now there's a sport.

i've known a few, but the biggest clown "legitimized" his hunting by claiming hunting for food for his family was less expensive than the numerous quality supermarkets in MA despite continuously spending 1000's and 1000's on gear. if it kept him from going "dc sniper", fine. and if he spent all work hours going through cabela's catalogs and tying flies, that means he wasn't ruining anything i'd have to fix.

having ranted, i'd like to point out i'm not anti-gun or anti-hunting, just anti-this is the hardest my dick has ever been omg i love killing.

if the bullet carries enough energy to effectively kill at that range and the shooter/hunter has the skill, what is the problem? you all keep living in what if land, but the reality is what you saw - the animal dropped. many spasm after being killed, it is just the reality of the hunt.

people use 300rum on grizzly, albeit at shorter distances, but it is not like the round was not capable of killing the animal at the range the shot was taken.

snipers kill w/ 7.62x51 (7.62NATO) @ 1000yds, hell even 5.56x45 (5.56NATO) is claimed to be g2g out to 500yds - is that inhumane? 300rum is 7.62x72, and the guy used a 185grn bullet - lots of energy even out that far.

do you people just have something to bitch about? sound like a bunch of women...

could you please point out the parts of my comment which say:
1. that wasn't a good shot
2. that wasn't a clean kill
3. what took place before, during or after the posted hunt
4. i don't want people to have the right, or the means, to do that
5. i've never eaten hunted animal
6. what part of "what if" land i live in

didn't mean to quote you...

The guy that made that video is a total douche. That goat died a horrible death.

This is just children torturing animals. Hunters do not behave this way. Men do not behave this way.

Correct, taking out an animals heart with a massive amount of energy is a much more painful death than being torn apart and eaten alive like all wild goats die.

If you think a fist-sized target is small when you have a scope, you suck at life.

Oh, you're just a troll! I didn't realize.

Countdown until you build the 1/4MOA gun required to pull this off. Apparently a scope is all you need! Have fun tracking down such a rifle. I mean scope. The scope.

Yeah, I realize the 99.9999999% of all things that ever lived died an excruciating death, either in the jaws of another animal, or from starvation. Does this fact free us from our choices?

This tool chose to show off how great a shot he is by killing something for fun. Yeeeehaw!

How many hunters are shooting animals from a trillion yards? If you can't hit a fist-sized target with a scope from <150yards, you suck at life.

Where did I ever say anything about the shot. It's obviously quite a feat. I would just rather he aimed the bullet at something lacking consciousness.

Get off my slope. It's slippery.
