911 - Where does China fit into the equation? Taiwan?

Part of me still think this is an elaborate plan that China cooked up to take back Taiwan. Wut a way to divert US protection from Taiwan! Think about it....the US could be focusing its attention on the wrong enemy...leaving Taiwan vulnerable to an attack by China. We all know China wants to become "the" economic super power....what a way to do it by screwing with the US economy!
 
boy, you really are a conspiracy theorist. Yes, and it could have been Isreal, trying to get us to attack Palestine. Or how about Russia, to prepare for domination of the world?

With the exception of Al Qaeda cells that are known to be in China, I'm sure China had nothing to do with this.
 
first of all, stop being so paranoid. i'll make a bet with you that china doesn't attack taiwan any time soon.

secondly, chinese people wouldn't do it like this. suicide hijackers? don't think so.
 
or maybe the russian staged the whole china/taiwan affair as well as the WTC attack in order to soften up the US. and we all thought the cold war was over....
 
Saying that the Chinese could have been in any way behind this, or have even known about it ahead of time (when there is not a shred of evidence of this), is extremely slanderous. If the Chinese wanted this situation to put themselves in a position to take military action, they would already be moving to back the Afghans and warning the US not to come in.

The only question as far as the Chinese are concerned, is how much funding and logistics support have they provided to terrorist organizations? All govts have had their hands in it and it would be interesting to know how much the Chinese have put into funding these organizations.
 
yea it would be interesting, but i bet you it wouldn't be as much as the u.s. for two reasons.

a.) as slow as the u.s. has been to realize that this kind of stuff is the future, i think china's even slower... they're just slow in general when it comes to change.
b.) china would probably put it's money into it's own organizations rather than give it to some foreigners.

China isn't going to attack Taiwan. It's only a political sign of strength. China's interests are increased exports.

China is already taking the economic power away from Taiwan..... have you been there or been keeping track of the news in that region? First off, the US does not deal with the "government" of taiwan. It is not internationally recognized. Therefore they have no political power. Secondly, we're already supporting their efforts to defend themselves so I wouldn't worry at this point. Thirdly, US companies are pumping money into China not Taiwan, and more recently, more and more companies are moving from Taiwan to China.

My father's company almost moved its operations to Shanghai but I convinced him that it wouldn't do his company much good and it wasn't good for the people of Taiwan. So he's keeping it internal. Hopefully things won't get so bad that we would have to open up operations in China.... but you never know.

I am taiwanese, born and raised in the US though, but I stronly support Taiwan and its people. But just coming back from Taiwan several weeks ago on a business/pleasure trip, I noticed how the moral has changed over time. Things are very different these days compared with a few weeks ago, 6 months ago, and 3 years ago. There's something missing in the people. I think people there became a little too self centered. Meaning that they felt they were invincible but didn't see the larger picture.

Anyways, I don't think China (the government) would have had any involvement being that they are to host the olympics and want in on the WTO. However, China does have a large number of Muslims (and I'm not saying that Muslims are to blame). But if Bin Laden had anything to do with it and they were supporters, then yes they would have been involved but not the government.
 
Whether China had any "input" on this matter...no one will ever know(because the Chinese gov. are a bunch of sneaky bastids). I know for a fact and am willing to bet that the Chinese gov hate America and were jumping with joy on 911. Tell me I'm wrong.
 
ut4ever - you know for a fact? i'd like to see proof... on the part where they were jumping for joy. while they may be annoyed at america for meddling in it's affairs, i doubt they rejoiced upon hearing this news. think about it. a lot of guys here pretty much hate china. but if the same thing happened in beijing, would you rejoice? i hope not.

Think about it...the US would be spending lots of resources in getting rid of the evil commies due to the terrorist attack. We all know Taiwan wants to see China destroied, we all know Taiwan wants to take back the land it lost during the Chinese civil war....What a way to get at its goal than to have two giants fight each other!
 
If the same thing happened in beijing
1) that will not happen, y would they mess with their own city?

2) on the surface, no, but deep inside me, there may be a sparkle of joy 😉

3) Taiwan military gots no backup, will be obliterated in seconds by US

I sure hope that the Taliban, Pakistan, and China is not in some big plot to get the NATO force into Pakistan and slaughter them there......🙁
