I tucked and cranked the throttle open and when I looked down at the speedo as I let off the gas I was going 120mph. I think it was still in 3rd gear too, a few thousand from redline, though I didn't pay attention to how many times I shifted either. It was in a 35mph zone no less.![]()

a guy I know with a GSX-R 1100 says him and his buddies cruise on the highway around 130mph from meets and stuff... the police apparently don't do anything when they go by that fast.

I'm actually impressed that the car was able to stay even with the stock bikes.
Yes that is an incredicle feat for any car. Its a well known fact that only the fastest cars in the world can keep up with a crotch rockets acceleration.

Not fair to race these bikes with the viper. The power to wieght ratio isn't even close. What I want to see run is that jet engine bike someone came up with. A real video, not something from a hollywood camera. That would be a feat.

That is true for bikes being able to outaccelerate a car almost anytime......but a car can still be driven about as fast as bikes. Almost without exception, drivers of equal skill, discounting professional racers, will go about equally as fast as a bike in a car over the same course, the bike pulling away in straights and the car catching up in curves.....something about the fear of laying down the bike and dying vs. having four wheels of stability and lots of sheet metal around for protection in a crash......or something silly like that. There are a lot of dead crotch-rocket boys who tried to disprove that, too. The PA, CT, VT and most other major bike bone yards are full of crotch-rocket bikes that didn't make the curve the driver thought it should at high speeds......lack of skill or committment.

In the video people shift too. There are at least two clear shift points for the Viper from the chase cam view.Originally posted by: WinstonSmith
Remember it's a roll on. In the real world, people shift.
