I too was given a MagicSpin drive as a substitute but not at 79.99. They rang it up as 129.99 and told me to mail in the Khypermedia rebate. The drive inside the box is DD401 [Optorite]

The Cyberdrive is a 32X CD burner, as opposed to the 24X speed of the BenQ - which is what the KHypermedia box apparently lists.
This might turn out to be one of those things that you don't know WHAT brand drive you get until you open the box
I don't think the Cyberdrive has the bit-setting abilities of the BenQ, which lessens its appeal.
Other than that, and the CD burner speed differences, they should be fairly similar (same Phillips guts).
