I will be getting the 8KHA+ motherboard soon and will have two PCI cards to install. I was wondering what PCI slots to use.

1. Audigy soundcard
2. D-Link PCI 10/100 ethernet

TIA,

I just spaced mine out a few notches, but my Santa Cruz is at the bottom (whatever slot that is) and my NIC is three up I think.

You should be fine like that.

I did the same thing. I put my SB Live in the bottom spot and put my NIC somewhere in the middle between my SB Live and my AGP video card.

It is good to keep the cards spread out but with a creative labs sound card, try to stay away from the fifth PCI slot below the AGP slot. For some reason the creative sound blaster live and audigy behave oddly on some motherboards in the fifth slot. The problems that occur is usually a total system freeze with an annoying loud beep comming from the speakers. I had to talk to alot of people before figuring out the cause of this problem with my old system.
