This board is full of tremendous insight, I hope someone can help me.
My EVGA 8800GTX recently started squealing (low power alarm, same sound as if the card were unplugged) upon suspend (S3). Seems the power to the card is dipping or being cut before the computer is suspended (the card fan stops well before the CPU, PSU, or case fans).
PSU is an OCZ gamer 600W, and should be ample.
Any one have suggestions for troubleshooting? Time to replace the card or the PSU?
One other thing, I rolled back Vista (32bit) to a known good point in time; the alarm still sounded on suspend. Leads me to think its not a driver or software issue.
Thanks in advance!
