OK, so I have a problem.
Previously I used a VGA to get video off of my pc onto my TV [1 of two monitors], but the higher resolutions wern't supported.
So I buy a DVI to HDMI cable and plug it in. I get picture coming through, and I can push the resolution right up but I get green dots flashing on the screen, and then the moment anything is displayed on the screen [windows taskbar, a window] I get thick green columns flashing all over the screen. The second monitor is fine.
I have the latest drivers from nvidia, I'm guessing all I have to do is go into "manage custom resolutions" and adjust the settings correctly, but I don't know what I'm doing. Or maybe I'm wrong, please help!
I have a sony kdl-40w2000 pdf and a EVGA nvidia 8600gts 512mb.
The TV can take 1080 [i?] and the refresh rates listed for the VGA [page 41] are 60, 70 and 75. Don't know about HDMI. 50 and 60ish are green, 70 dosen't work.
Please help guys and gals.
Thanks in advance.
