Haven't posted much in a while, sorry, I have been quite busy. So I have been one of those ever so popular leeches. But I just wanted to let everyone know of the outstanding service I received from 800.com. We always hear of these horror stories, so I thought I would give some positive feedback for once. I ordered a 32" Toshiba on Saturday, and realized on Sunday after I went to Best Buy to take a look at it, it was a bad set (the tube was as spherical as a fish bowl). So when I called to confirm delivery, I informed them I wanted to change to a 32" Panasonic that was 440 after all the rebates. The guy told me everything was set, and it would be shipped on the 20th. Two days later I receive a phone call from 800.com calling to confirm my address again!? I ask why, when I had already done this. Well, the guy on Sunday didn't take down any of the changes, and the TV was not shipped. Well, to make matters worse, the Panasonic was now out of stock. So it sounds like a nightmare thus far! But, today, after talking to a few people (all that were pretty understanding) they are shipping a 32" Superflat to me for $499 (on their site for $999). So I feel they more than accommodated me, and I will order many more products from them in the future. I know this isn't really the forum for this, but many of us deal with shady online companies. So this is just to say 800.com is a step above the rest when it comes to customer service. Thanks to Jeff Porter (Head customer service manager) for assisting me in this matter. Oh, btw, Happy Thanksgiving to all!
