Well - of course it can be done... but what lengths would I have to go through? What is the best way to balance this? Turns out this crazy Dr. Merle Hopkins assigned the class 80 pages of reading - and I didn't procrastinate this time!

Any ideas on how I should approach this?

Thanks ;)

80 pages of reading can be done in like 2-3 hours ..

Just concentrate on the book.. and go to a quiet place to read..

Just read the 80 pages in one sitting. No distractions. Then take the time left and go relax.

80 pages of reading takes like an hour and a half. if 80 pages is a challenge you're f*cking pathetic.

I thought you were going to have to WRITE 80 pages...... that would have been tough.

Maybe I should specify.. the text is about 10 font.. and there's a lot of it... the page sizes are about 8.5x11... pretty dense stuff too :(

I guess I'll go into the bathroom and read :)

It can be done! Do 7 pages an hour IF you have 12 hours. Go off AIM and internet. GO FOR IT!

No sympathy here either. Reading pages is a no-brainer -- try doing serious writing then you'll really face a challenge!

dude.... i thought writing as well and i was gonna say... i read 3 - 4 pages a minute depending on page and font size so it would take me 30 - 45 mins at the most, but even without being a speed reader you should be able to read that in two to three hours...

ahhhhh, 80 pages aint that much. i thought you were referring to 80 pages of research or some report, then you'll have some problem.

in 12 hours, well, that can be done. just start reading right now, and TURN OFF ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL DISTRACTIONS, even music, even your computer (if possible). Serious. When i lay back and start reading, i try to turn everything off and only focus on the matter at hand. but that is only for reading pleasure, now, for an assignment, i'd lock myself in my room and disconnect the damn DSL line~!

good luck!

I figure you're referring to a regular book, as opposed to a textbook?

you can easily read through 80 pages in 2hrs, or if your slow 3to4. but don't try to speed read. you'll end up not remembering anything.

wait to you get up into higher college classes and you have 500 pages a week to read.
