Refuse shipment.

And he was an idiot to order a 7800 with so much 7900 info available (including the launch date).

And I'm not saying it's a bad card, it just that he can get more for the same money today, so he'll prolly have to go through the hassle of returning it.

I bought on eVGA 7800GT like five weeks ago. Great card! Should do me fine until R600/G80 roll around.

same price? he saved himself about $100 according to Newegg.

i haven't looked at the specs of a 7900gt but it can't be that much mor epowerful to warrant an extra $100

i compared an EVGA 7800GT and EVGA 7900GT

The difference is about $10-20. A person would be a fool to ignore the 7900GT and buy a 7800GT right now.

It's similar to what we saw a few months ago with the 7800GT versus the 6800GT - you could get a 6800GT for $300 or a 7800GT for $300...common sense would dictate you would go for the 7800GT.

I bought my 7800GT in December, going to use EVGA's step up to make it a 7900GT, if the pricing is right, should cost me abuot $20.

With 3 day shipping, once they are back in stock, coming out to $29 to do the step up, since I paid $285 for my old card, and going to the $299 card.

Well, once the geeks all upgrade in a few weeks here, used 7800GTs will be flooding the market here and eBay, so its a great time to go SLI.

One sold here today for $200 shipped.

Even a great time to upgrade to a 7800GT since it is now a really fast second tier card, soon to be selling for <$200
