frankly skulltrail sucks, due to its inferior ram bus which introduces much higher latency it looses to a single quad core in practically ever single test. If you try to OC the two then the gap widens.
The only benefit to the ram architecture that skulltrail uses was the ability to have more then 4 modules of ram. Except they choose to place only 4 modules anyways on the motherboards so that benefit is wasted. It could have been an ideal platform for video encoding had it allowed, say, 8 or 16 sticks of ram. Now its just a marketing gimmick that costs more and underperforms in every single real world application.

Is nRollo Rollo? If so, why is he back and not banned again? Did NVidia cut a deal with AT?
Ding Ding Ding

I was under the impression that AT did not like marketers on the forums. Seeing how focus groups are *mostly* used by marketers it seems weird they would make a deal like that.

I while back (few months) AT gave general amnesty to all previously banned posters save for a few truly abhorent ones when they implemented the new Moderator visibility system.

Yes this policy lets back in a few bad eggs, but truly bad eggs are readily identified as repeat offenders and were/are re-banned if the punishment fits the crime.

I don't know the specifics of nRollo/Rollo etc, just saying there is history for why any given previously banned poster may be back.

So why isn't SerpentRoyal allowed back? He was originally banned as Furballi, but then came back under a new nick (SerpentRoyal), and actually genuinely helped people. He was re-banned because once banned, always banned (so I was told). So if Rollo of all people is allowed back on the forums, then why isn't SerpentRoyal. This situation stinks.

Well I find it Ironic the Arbuthnot Entertainment Group is still in existence, it reputedly went out of business, but it obviously still exists. The guys over at Elite Bastards will be interested to know they are operating, it was them that put the word out a few years ago.

The powers that exist to market us computer equipment is very quietly a very big force, and who, is in who's pocket is sometimes not very clear.

The best known more public ones are part of Ziff/Davis Publishing, Rhydium Webring... Etc.. Etc. They never saw a piece of hardware they did not like !

This kinda poisoned the consumers a little, and then Forums such as this one, user to user quickly told the story what was good, and what was not-so good, or total crap.

The lesser known ones are Outfits such as Arbuthnot, that are covert, stealth type operations that enlist "Well Respected Forum Personality's".

The viral method is used, as it requires the least resources, and has the biggest impact in buyer perception. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viral_marketing

I find it hilarious that nRollo/Rollo claims to not know who Fugger is.

Fugger is the Owner of Xtreme, has been for years and the thing that gives him away as a member of the green team is Everything NVIDIA, and a Dell 30" monitor much the same as our resident Sock Puppet.

Anything that is said over there that is negative to NVIDIA over there gets Shit canned in a hurry.

AT, and HardOCP are on the other hand more open, and fair, and let the dissent see the light of day, or as needed call a spade, a spade.

I don't know the specifics VirtualLarry, even what I stated up above was merely going by an admittadly fuzzy memory.

But if I had to guess about SerpentRoyal I would assume his original ban occurred after the general amnesty making his case of rebanning once uncovered as re-posting as SerpentRoyal a legitimate case of rebanning. Alternatively he might have been banned even as SerpentRoyal for some violation of forum rules after amnesty too.

Just wild wild wild guesses on my part, I have no idea. PM a mod and ask?
