Mine's here. It doesn't work. I'm pretty sure that they card isn't the problem but my 250Watt Shuttle (SFF) power supply. The machine will start, but no video.

I'm not sure if I should buy an 80 dollar power supply that might or might not work or just return the card and put the ~$180 towards a new machine six months to a year from now.

:(

Right now Leadtek is the only AGP 7600GT available, but I'm pretty sure at least a few more companys will be joining them shortly.

True, but the 5900Ultra that I've currently got in the same box on the same power supply also has a 350Watt minimum and runs beautifully and is pretty overclocked to boot (both the video card AND the CPU... Athlon XP-M 2200 (1.6GHz) @ 2.415Ghz).

Actually, Shuttle sells a pre-made box with a 7600GT and their 300Watt power supply. See it HERE.

Just got mine yesterday. Haven't tested the performance, but wow it runs cool. It's actually SHORTER in length than my 9800 Pro also. It runs at 51 C under load, and 47 C idle, stock heatsink/fan.

Hmmm.... mine appears to be DOA. I've now tried it in a second (Desktop) machine with the same results (the computer would not boot). I'm going to try it in one more machine before I return it to NewEgg.

At this point I'm REALLY hoping it's DOA and that a new one might work with my Shuttle. If it does, then I don't have to go through the quandry about whether to put another ~$90 into a new Shuttle 300 Watt power supply or not.

If you want a comparison in size between the 7600GT and my 5900Ultra, look HERE, and scroll to the very bottom. I'm really impressed with how small this thing is.

I am really thinking that your problem is the card and not the shuttle xpc. The 7600GT doesn't seem like a power hungry card at all....heck my 9800 Pro and your 5950 Ulta probably use more power than it, and my 9800 Pro worked fine in my old shuttle system.

You bought the leadtek one?
I think i would buy this compared to NV stock coolers. Leadtek cards rock!

Leadtek does have good customer service if it is in fact DOA.

At least you wont get the runaround.

Usually leadtek has exceptionally high quality, the best coolers, and all japanese-made caps. I buy leadtek almost exclusively unless i can catch a really good price on another brand.

Got mine [Newegg[ a few hours ago.
Runs great, no problems.
I'm getting the same temps as reported^.
Pretty quiet. About the same noise level as the BFG7600GS I had for a week.
Both much quieter than the 6600GT I had previously.
Quick run through 3dMark05 shows about 5300 default everything.
The GS got 3300+-
Noticible fps improvement in F.E.A.R, Doom3, Q4, HL2 etc compared to the GS and HUGE fps gain over the trusty old XFX6600GT
I'm keeping this one.

Oh, got Serious Sam2, some racing game plus PowerDVD, and overclocking/monitoring utilities bundled with it.
Hope everyone gets to enjoy this card as much I am

I wrote to NewEgg for an RMA. Problem is that they are out of stock now. Twice in a week they've gotten stock and sold it all within a couple of hours. I think some of these manufacturers need to think about how much of a market there is for higher end AGP cards. There's some money to be made if these people would pull their heads out of their hind quarters.

Netopia:

I would invest in a good power supply regardless. You can always keep your older p.s., and then when you build your new pci-e machine next year or so (assuming) you can take the good p/s and put it in the new machine, and put your old p/s back in the old machine (if you wanted the old machine to keep working)

A good p/s is SO important. Mine is pretty good quality, but "only" 350W... I keep thinking I should upgrade it, but no problems so far.

I waited too long and newegg is out of stock again. :-( I keep hesitating... $173 is a lot for me right now.... Grrrr... I really want to play GRAW though! :)

Kieran,

These aren't standard power supplies and won't fit in anything but a shuttle box, so if I have to buy the the upgrade (there is only ONE I can buy) then the other becomes pretty much useless.

Just had Coolbits auto overclock mine to 591 core/1543 mem (from 560/1400), no temp difference yet from stock.
