Logan's Run [along with a list of other good ole scifi movies] is awesome - just try to watch it for the story and not concentrate too hard on the bad special effects. 🙂

Which first: Should I read the book or see the film? Option C: Wait and see the remake.

The movie is fun if you're a sci-fi fan, and is a part of Americana to some extent. That makes it worth seeing. The book is a fairly good read, but nothing amazing. It's more interesting as a philosophical debate starter than a work of literature.

I got that same vibe, which is why I now want to see it. Thanks!

Im about 5 miles away from the Water Gardens in Fort Worth. That is where the portal is to "the other side" in the movie. Not much has changed.

I saw the movie at the drive in back in the 70s and few times since then. Havent seen it in a decade. It will now be my mission to see it again.

I believe some of the indoor scenes were filmed at Towne East Mall in Mesquite. Havent seen the movie in quite a while though.

Logan's Run, Soylent Green, THX 1138...

Talk about a group of movies that could not be more on opposite spectrums of my wife's and my like/dislike lists.

😉

I could watch those movies all day long.
