Sorry, not playing the games around here. My condolences are with the families of those who lost their loved ones and praying for those injured.

Can't we just have good thoughts for those people and talk about this sad tragedy? This is a terrible act of hate, period! Trying to politicize it is in poor taste.
Some of the adolescent level posts in this thread are really sad and some disgusting. Class...I hope you find some now.

Unfortunately "good thoughts" do little to replace the loss these people are suffering. Additionally, "good thoughts" do little to prevent this from happening again. I guess if you really don't give a fuck about actually acting to prevent such a "terrible act of hate" in the future, you can have all the "good thoughts" you want.

I’m sure your thoughts and prayers are deeply comforting for the friends and families of those murdered there.

Maybe instead of that we should try to prevent the next tragedy.

It is a politically motivated act of hate, egged on and given cover by a President who repeatedly demonizes those who disagree -- "the press is the ENEMY of the people" -- with him while repeatedly minimizing murderous acts of hate -- guy murders a protester with his car? "There were good people on both sides."

Perhaps a couple of hoary cliches will drive home this incredibly obvious point:

"A fish rots from the head."

"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree."

In the wake of this ugly, lying fascist bigot and his incredibly ignorant followers, it will be the task of the rest of us, as Americans, to truly Make America Great Again.

Yep.. Except this time it's about 5 miles from me..

First MAGABomber, now MAGAShooter..

Everything is politicized, everything is us vs them, every tragedy has to be laid at the feet of the other side.
Your attempt at deflection does not reflect well on you.

It says volumes about where your true values lie, something it is clear you cannot even admit to yourself.

SHAME on you and your shallow, heartless and entirely ignorant attempt at deflection. For shame! 🙁

I'm sure all the Sheldon Adelson alt-right sellouts will keep the shekels flowing and fueling the GOP hate machine all the same. They don't give a shit.

Uh...this pretty much looks like a politically motivated hate crime..
Psst.. we're supposed to ignore that because of the political origin of this politically motivated hate crime. Yaknow, "very fine people," and all that.

The act itself was political. We need not only to condemn it but to condemn the kind of speech that promotes it.

This guy apparently was disapointed in Trump for not being racist and anti-Semitic enough according to his social media..

He was apparently killing Jews because he believes they control Trump; he was trying to free Trump from their influence..

The guy is so 1930's. You know, back when Jew hating was fashionable in conservative Christian circles. It's all different now. Muslims & Mexicans are the new Jews, the new Other. Making that transition has caused a huge schism on the Right Fringe.

When Trump was talking about a "red wave" nobody realized what he really meant was a wave of blood from Trump supporter terror.

The red wave has arrived.

They have my thoughts and prayers.

All from the party of Benghazi. The blood is on your hands.

And they completely ignore it when Trump calls for stop & frisk. Just pretend it never happened.

More guns is not the answer.

Regarding my own situation, I'll heed my own counsel, but most people aren't well equipped for defensive situations in either training or temperament. That's why I insisted on my daughter taking professional instruction that I approved of and no she doesn't carry a firearm.

Really? You can't have sympathy for the victims AND discuss the attitudes that led to the event?

Everything is politicized, everything is us vs them, every tragedy has to be laid at the feet of the other side.

Or "Don't look at the man behind the curtain".

It's well past time we did. Tragedy belongs at the feet of those responsible, whether they commit or incite an act, which the WH does on a repeated basis.

Incredibly well put Perk, thank you.

Same bullshit post after every shooting. Do you just copy and paste it, or do you actually type it each time?

Uh...this pretty much looks like a politically motivated hate crime..
I see it as an insanity motivated hate crime. Rational people don't walk into a room full of people and open fire. The guys brain is defective, he's single track and can't see past that. He had to have others to hate, he had to have someone to blame for everything that his bent mind sees as wrong with the world. That's not politics, it's crazy. It's a fucked up world view from a brain that isn't capable of making rational decisions.
Put the guy away forever, or just put him down, he's broken and way past the point of being fixed.

Well that means that everyone with the same views as that guy is dangerously insane. Dangerously insane people get locked up indefinitely.

Now think long and hard about this. Are you saying that people with the same views as this guy should be committed to insane asylums?

Why the mentally I'll shouldn't be allowed to buy guns.

But this is like saying every member of the SS was mentally ill, not that they were massively brainwashed.
