Edit-
Duh

clicked your link. Cool that you grabbed the 256MB offerings, wondering how this setup will hold up at high res settings vs your 6600GT benches
I'm guessing it will give me the additional capability to play at 16X12 4X8X on some games, and a solid 12X10 4X8X (as opposed to 12X10 2X8X) on others based on what I saw at Firing Squad's review. And check out the
single OCd scores that pace/beat a single 6800GT?

Looks like a win/win to me.
Not a HUGE difference, but when you consider all I'm losing in the exercise is a X800XT PE my 5 year old uses 95% of the time and doesn't know or care, I couldn't resist.

(and I have a 6800NU on the shelf to power his Sponge Bob antics anyway)
Mostly, this is the rig that has always intrigued me in the SLI line up- costs right around one 6800U, but has 8 more pipelines and 4 more VPs. Perhaps the "6800GT" of the SLI line, yet other than Firing Squad there is
zero available info.
Thought you guys might be curious as well.
Ooops- forgot- by high res you mean pushing my monitor to it's 19X14 limits at 0X0X or above. Be sure to remind me Ben, and I'll run them.
