6800GT 3Dmark Help...

I just got my eVGA 6800GT and I get around 19180 in 3dmark2001SE. I've seen people with 9800s and 5900s beat that score with my setup.

specs:

P4 3.4ghz(overclocked from 3.0)
512MB of PC3200 corsair xms LL (2-5-5-3)
6800GT of course, not overclocked

In 3dmark2003 I get 10900 which apparently is normal according to the guru3d.com review they did of the card.

System is freshly formatted with updated bios, chipset drivers, everything. What am I doing wrong?

01 is DX7 and 8 right? Do you still play alot of those games??? if not who cares? if so 3dmark sucks don't worry about it.

Well I don't use it mainly to check and see how fast my card is, I use it to check and see if everything is in order, and make sure I get the average score of most people with that card to let me know I have everything installed correctly. Now that I know my 3dmark2003 is pretty much the norm I'm ok I guess

Lets see some 03 results.

I've got around 11,442 with:

Abit NF7-S r2 (SoundStorm)

My rig

P4 3.2 EE
Asus P4C800-E
1 Gig Samsung 3200 Ram
74 Gig Raptor
BFG 6800GT 370/1000

In 3Dmark 03 - 11461

In 3Dmark 2001 SE - 21545

With my FX 5950 OC to 530/1020 I got 19002 in 3Dmark 2001 SE

You have to have AA/AF enabled.

Your 3d2003 score beats the living crap out of my 9800/A64 score. And thats with large overclocking. I skim 6000.

All stock speeds...

Awesome, the vaporware card (ultra extreme) should be able to match that at its stock speeds I guess ?_?

I just wanna know wtf my 2001SE is so low

Its likely just a programming glitch with 2001. If your 2003 is normal, then I wouldnt worry. Try reinstalling 2001?

hehehe, <3 to all the OCing bartons...

that is roughly the same as a system we have at work with a athlon64 3000+ and 1gb ram running a bfg 6800gt

my xp2500 running at 2.2 ghz(everyday OC BTW) with 1gb ram gets 10,500-800 in 3dm03 and 17,900 in 3dm01

BTW these are on best image quality.

it does not seem abnormally low, maybe a bit more ram would help.

i got a 3.2ghz intel on ic7-g max II overclocked at 3.4ghz. on bfg running the 61.34 drivers on a stock bfg6800gt, i am getting 20,755 in madoinion 2001

19,000 in 2001 equates to being able to run ANY DX8 game with absolutely no trouble at all. Don't worry about it... it's a synthetic benchmark. Use Far Cry to compare performance.

Also, as someone already stated... 512 MB of RAM isn't a whole lot.
