hello, im currently deciding on whether to pick up a single 256mb GTX or 2 XFX 6800GS'

Where i live the 2GSs would be about 40bucks cheaper than the cheapest GTX.

I dont play at high Res, the most is 1280x1000. Will the GS' perform better than the GTX?

I need an answer ASAP because im going to buy tommorrow :D

thanks in advance

If you have enough money to buy two 6800GS's, just buy one 7800GTX which will be much faster.

Just take a look at some of the newer games like Fear, AOE3, and Serious Sam II.

Why have all the extra heat in your case and pay for the extra electricity, when one 7800 GTX perofrms better?

it depends if you pick music over games or the other way around

it's games > music any day for me

7800GT SLI is rediculously fast, but you dont need that kind of power unless you play at high resolutions (1600x1200 or higher).

A single 7800GT can run max settings in pretty much every title out at 1280x960.

FEAR might be the only exception but everything else should play great at that res with max eye-candy. Check out the FEAR thread to see what guys are getting with a 7800GT at 1280x960 (or close to).

you should be fine with the Enermax, according to it's specs (+12V1@22a and +12V2@22a)
