"On FedEx vehicle for delivery"

Why tonight of all nights do I have to get home late? I guess I'll be staying up until all hours of the night.

Good luck, and I hope you get a 6800U for that price like sticky did.

if the agp version is based in the n40 core, does that mean purevideo is also disabled similar to the previous released 6800xx line?

Disabled? More like borked 😉 And these cards are evidently just nv40 by any other name, in which case the video processor will lack support for WMV HD and H.264.

I have the same XFX 6800GS AGP as sticky111 and mine overclocks just the same with the extra pipes enabled:

Athlon XP 2800+ (stock CPU speed)

6800GS stock 3dmark03 9348

6800GS with unlocked pipes and 400 clock 1100 mem 11545

Haven't tried pushing the GPU harder yet.

i've also noticed that the GPU temp doesn't rise above 54deg C even when running at 6800ultra speeds for prolonged periods

"12:01 PM - Delivered"

;( I'm holding mine in my hand, but there is nothing I can do with it for another 3 1/2 hours. Darn work.

EDIT: I need to start thinking of excuses to go home early 😉 jk jk.

Well it does quantify power to a degree but speeds within a game engine are much more useful.
I edited my other post for you DAPUNISHER, but my point is valid the optimisations are in the divers but they reduce the quality because of the way they altered the shading methods. I read an article about it a while back.

What kinda fps is the clocked up Gs giving in game?

well, my agp gs just shipped today. so when I get home and (hopefully I'm able to) unlock it and overclock it, I will try to give you guys a plethora of benchmarks and hopefully a fraps movie to prove it's image quality not artifacting.

i know right? I feel all hyped up and there's nothing I can do about it till 5:30 but stare at it (well, at least it's pretty). I'm just so happy to get away from my current setup. I had 1 computer doing everything: gaming, work, dvr. I'm also one of those people that has to have 2 monitors. I just can't do without it. So I had a AIW 9800 Pro and a PCI 9100 for my extra monitor. Never do that! I had so many problems with drivers it wasnt funny. I had it running pretty well with the stock drivers that came with MCE, but when I tried to upgrade I would get BSODs. The only drivers I could get to work were DNA drivers, but their WDM drivers weren't MCE certified so I lost DVR functionality. I've learned my lesson about trying to make one computer try to do too many things. Now, I'm setting up a seperate computer just to be a media server/DVR with that AIW. Life will be so much easier.

Hello All,

Been reading this and other forums to see the story unfold. I also purchased the monarch computer EVGA for $215 + $5. As I look at different pictures of these cards, look at the capacitor and resistor locations. The XFX looks more like the 6800ultra cards, and the EVGA looks more like the ASUS V9999 something or other card that had a different core, if I remember right, but was introduced into the 6800 line. The point being that the core really did only have 12 pipelines.

I really hope it is the NV40 core on this (EVGA)PCB and not the knock off. Then again, Asus also put out an ultra 6800 series that resembles the card too. Anyone else notice this? Look at pics at NewEgg to see what I mean. Anyway, I look forward to your report back(joincamp), as I will be in the same boat as you.

Cheers, Kibby

Forceware 81.98 for "official" drivers... 82.12 are popular betas (the newer 83.10s seem buggy).

Riva to unlock the pipes, coolbits to overclock using the NVidia drivers themselves.

I have pretty much any game out there now. So yeah, I'll fire up BF2. Booting up right now, looks like I don't have a dead card 🙂

How are they getting the core to 400 MHz on the extreme versions of these cards????

It's still the same core! I know you can throw a mega cooler on and go for it, but I have 2 6800le 128 mb cards. One unlocked to 16p/6v the other to 12p/6v. Neither has been able to go stable at above 385 MHz. And the Leadtek has a massive copper cooler on both sides of the card. It does stay very cool however.

I hope that the stock version and the xtreme version (EVGA) are one in the same, as the pictures show a copper cooler on the core of the non extreme. I can't seem to find pics or products (XFX or EVGA) of stock vs. extreme versions of either card. Are they the same only with updated press releases. Also, that throws out the theory of "moving old stock" of cores.

So, is it unlockable???????
