Why don't buy XFX PVT71AYDF3 GeForce 7950GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card - Retail for $270 ??? It's faster than X1950PRO and it has 24 PIPELINES vs
12 from ATI.
It also requaires less energy, more stable and has good revievs.
Othervise wait to Dx10 AGP card from ATI (probably in a couple month).

7950GT is barely faster. pipeline comparison is apple to oranges comparison, and X1950PRo can be had for much less.

My eary impressions are good, it's a little louder than my 6800 Ultra, but faster...
This is the first post I?ve seen implying that PowerColor's cooler (Arctic Cooling Accelero X2) is loud, everywhere else I?ve read it?s virtually silent. I thought the stock cooler on a 6800 Ultra was louder than a GT?
Me too, I just put an Accelero on my X1900XT and it's dead silent even at 100%. Now I know my system isn't the quietest thing out there, but I don't mind the noise sitting 6 inches away from it.

But I can't find enough info on comparing these 2 cards, al the benches I look at on anand in the video reviews seem to have one card but not the other, Closest I can find is this. Link

I know the 6800 Ultra is a little faster than the 6800GS because the 6800gS is close to the 6800GT. So am I correct to assume the 6800 Ultra is about on par with the 7600gs? If so where on this graph would the 1950Pro fall?

Thanks

If your talking on Nvidia terms this is like a little better then 6800 Ultra to 7800 GTX. And you can probably find benchmarks for those 2 cards pretty easily.

will i see much faster when upgrade to X1950p from x850 Pro? I wish there are X1950XT agp card.
Someone mentioned about DX10 agp card? I doubt there will be one in the future. I believe 19xx agp card will be the last.

Yeah, it is, I bought this motherboard, this videocard, this RAM and I haven't regreted it, great service, don't choose UPS for shipping, they like to crush box like little bugs.
