just upgraded from 9700 pro which i usually oc to 9800 pro speeds...
in CS:S... stress test pulls about 40 extra fps regardless if i have no AA and ansio off or 4x AA and 16x ansio... really no difference in 1024x768
in the game with 9700 pro i got between 45-90 fps no aa/2x ansio... and about the same 45-90 with some exceptions where it spiked at 120 fps... with and without the aa/ansio.
3dmark05... the ati had about 2200 maybe? 6800u 4875 marks (seems low) or something like that with that 1 fps cpu bench and like 3-30 fps in other benches... while the graphics do not look extra stunning or anything compared to 3dmark03 though both dx9..
im just not feeling the extra boost in game performance though the numbers say it and i used to notice a big difference between fps regardless if its 40 fps, 80 fps, 120 fps etc with other cards from the bump between the original geforce 256 ddr to radeon 8500 le to ti4800se to 9700 pro, but not the 6800u.
lol maybe i should play older dx 8.1 games to feel like this is worth the upgrade?
