Personally, I prefer to eat organic chicken/eggs. Had 4 nice organic eggs this morning, straight from a farm I drove to. How's that work out for you in the big city?

If you read in a bit farther into the factory farming BS they get away with and the big money that is behind what you are watching you would see these "evil" people that are watching out for your health in a totally different light.
That explains why 'greens' in europe support immigration, they want more terrorists to destroy our infrastructure, and to punish 'evil' consumer..
Some propably think that immigrants from africa are closer to nature, and more extremist 'greens' think that immigrants kill evil capitalists..

It is sad that the very industries geared toward profit at the expense of our health can leverage enough bs onto the public and people snap it up.
Actually there are rules and regulations you have to meet and abide by to be able to label your foods "organic".

Not in CA, just gotta pay a fee and you get state approval with no oversight.
The very worst chicken farms are well known to sport a organic label.

"Driving" to an organic farm increases the greenhouse effect! Why not walk there? Or raise chickens in your garden?

(You are right as my knowledge of this is from 2001 I see no fee but the clause for those who sell to retail is still there)

Didn't I mention that I was at the farm? I see the very chickens, the very grain, the very cleaning room (even cleaned a few of the eggs myself). Short of raising them myself, I don't know how I could be more sure.

Becasue unlike the fantasy stories or a few nutjobs willing to shill for big corporations by talking insanity like that on tv the above happens far too often.

Actually it seems that only exemption 1 deals with producers and that provides exemptions for those with under $5k of sales. It also doesn't mean they are unregulated even if exempted by one of the exemptions.

What the corporate media want to do is to make vandalizing an SUV and flying a plane into a building morally equivalent and equally newsworthy, which they certainly aren't.
