<< looking at this deal, it comes down to this

Small Business: 39.95 with free shipping - rebate = 19.95 (-15% unless u have a unique code)

while

Home: 39.95-10% = 36ish +5.50 shipping = $42 - rebate = $22

Remember 2% ebates

I can second that. I also ordered through Dell Home since I couldn't find a Dell SB 15% off coupon that works but I should have ordered through SB instead of Home since OR has no sales tax. But like a dumb ass I didn't, oh well I still got 10% off and had to pay $5.50 shipping.

Sweet deal it will be nice having a 6-in-1 USB card reader.

Sigh, My order at the Dell website , Still says DELAYED ,

With an ESTIMATED ship date of 3/5/02 .

Problem might be, I haven't been billed yet.
So WHAT HAPPENS with the rebate ???
You had to PURCHASE by 2/28/02 ??

OPINIONS ??
SUGGESTIONS ???

Kenny: Just check your order status page. The most important thing is the date of purchase. Regardless of when it ships, the most important thing is the date of purchase. As long as it was on or before the 28th, then you're good to go.

I just got my reader today, and it only came with a packaging slip with the ship date of March 1. There is no invoice that came with it to show the purchase date. I'm not opening the reader until I get adequate proof of purchase for the rebate. Arghh. Dell is gonna hear it from me. According to the rebate, submissions must be postmarked by March 31, 2002. So, I have some time go get what I need. Anyone else get their readers yet?

I ran into a similiar rebate mess when I bought the Epson 880 from Dell. My rebate got denied because the invoice date is the date they shipped therefore voiding my rebate. They sent me the correct invoice a month after I asked for it. All I could tell you is it's going to be messy!

polotek, I ordered the reader on 2/27 and received it on 3/1. My packing slip showed a ship date of 2/28 so I am okay. The rebate form requires a dated, store-identified receipt or packing slip with the product price circled. Since the packing slip does not show the price, I included a receipt printed from Dell's website besides a copy of the packing slip in my rebate submittal. The receipt shows the order date and price. In lieu of the online receipt, you can send them a copy of your confirmation email.

I just got home and saw a message on my answering machine from Dell. They said sorry for the delay, and that the new estimated ship date for my Dazzle is March 18 (originally said March 4th). Should I wait it out, or should I cancel? I don't wait to be screwed with the rebate.

All the emails that I have received from dell (2) say an ORDER date of 2/28
I know it's splitting Hairs, But I haven't PURCHASED it yet, cause it hasn't been shipped yet, and I haven't been Billed yet.

Don't know, Got a BAD feeling on this. :disgust:

Not sure Polotek147 , Mine still says DELAYED at the dell website..

And I thought I had seen something in this thread , concerning Possible Rebate problems.

Page 1 , Justincase Mentioned that the rebate involves PARAGO in Mc Allen, TX.

Have a feeling they'd do ANYTHING to avoid fulfilling as many as possible , but that's just my $.02 Worth.

Looks like this is gonna be another 6 month battle to get it.

It seems to depend on the particular rebate...I don't follow all Parago rebates, but it seems that others have been receiving Visioneer scanner rebates very quickly (4 weeks or so)...while at the same time, other rebates have been far exceeding the specified 8 week time frame. I speak to a different Parago supervisor every Friday, and I still can't get them to send me my rebates from Thanksgiving (which they validated months ago). The worst of these is the Dymo rebate from Black Friday - the supervisors have been telling me for well over a month that 'Dymo has to authorize it'...and they still haven't done so. I still say beware of Parago - don't tie up too much money with them. Something just isn't right with them, at this point in time.

I got my reader on Fri...bought on 2/27. Sent in rebate form, packing slip, email invoice, and UPC symbol...why try to cut corners and risk not fulfilling terms?

Received this email from DELL Yesterday :

<<<We have reviewed your order # 781xxxxxx, and although we had anticipated
being able to ship your order sooner, we are experiencing an unexpected
delay. We will not be able to ship your order until 3/19/02. We apologize
for this inconvenience, and are doing everything we can to get your order
out to you as quickly as possible.

As always, you may cancel your order at any time prior to shipment by
calling 1-800-624-9897 ext. 66966 and we will promptly process a refund for
your order. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and will ship out
your order as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Dell software And peripherals >>>

Dells web site says the 15th when I check there.

This is starting to look like it ain't gonna happen. :disgust:

Justincase, do you have a TOLL-FREE number for Parago ?
I hate to call them and ask about the rebate, cause I don't want to tip them off as to any possible reasons to reject any rebates, but ?

ANYONE , have DELL Fulfill the Rebate for the item, cause you did not get it in time ?

There is no single number for all rebates. If you look at Parago's Web site, you'll see that they list dozens of phone numbers, depending on which manufacturers' rebate you are calling about. Then there's the number for Staples' rebates, which is found on the rebate forms at Staples' site.

Print your invoice from here.

Just click on order history. Might have to enter your Customer ID and Zip code. For some reason, they did not like my customer ID to my login ID. Hope this help as it will have the proper Order DATE!

Just note that Rebate states must be post marked by 3/31 so just as long as you receive it before then.
