It's BS... How do you fit 4xPentium Ms on a mobo, not to mention they claim to use them to replace their weird CPU. Pentium M cannot address more than 4GB of ram anyway so having 1TB of ram would be worthless on it. If there was such as huge breakthrough then we'd be hearing of it all over, we wouldnt have to wait 'till CES. I think these guys are fishing for investors...

It says it uses a AtomChip® Quantum® II processor. I dont see the part where it says 4xPentium Ms.
I agree the TB of ram has to be BS because there is no physical way of addressing the memory.

Reminds me of the BitBoys claims.

you must remember that IPC x frequency = performance..

so depending on what the IPC (considering its x86 compliant, and it is running windows xp, unless its being emulated), you cant really determine how it performs against current day processors .. i haven?t totally read through it .. but i would imagine they are either playing with numbers, or it just doesn't perform very well per Ghz.

EDIT: Ohh have they stated that it is four pentium M's, hmm maybe i should have read it ...

I will agree IPC x frequency = performance.

It looks like some sort of Optical hybrid processor.

If so then I would like to see them become a chip fab instead of attempting to make thier own. Imagine 6ghz Opterons? Especially quad core opterons no less next year.

But I still think it is BS and that the 6.8ghz is probably the optical interconnects and nothing more. Which brings it near a few of todays's cpu interconnects.

I have a tough time taking that site seriously. My BS meter is going full tilt. Don't get me wrong, I think compition is a great thing, but it just looks like a hoax. I guess we'll have to wait until CES.

Oh, and BTW repost

i believe they put the CES thing every year, then never show up, and put CES for the next year on their site

OMG, this crap is ghetto... I mean hot glue gun pieces of other stuff... I would feel sad just hearing this demonstration knowing the person speaking to me was clearly insane... A good laugh though... :)

If any of this is at all true, it just looks like its still in the R&D stages.

Dude, seriously. If anyone had the technology to manufacture such a thing, THEY WOULDN'T POST WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE ON THE INSIDE ON THE INTARWEB?

I mean, c'mon, it's not like everyone is underestimating the power of 2, count 'em, 2, 2.5 mm jackplugs, COMBINED! :Q

Total BS. The biggest giveaway is the headphone jack, re-labeled.

Their processor is just that fast. It can rip a hole in space time.

OMG, you got it wrong buddy, those are 3.5mm stereo plugs, gold plated even. I mean, that gold plating should be good for a 38¼% performance boost combined with a 197% capacity boost, and that's only combined with the lower performance non-gold plated jack. Imagine the power once they develop the technology to gold plate the jack!!! True audiophiles have known this for decades, I can't believe that so called "smart" compooter nurds haven't figured this one out yet. If gold plating can improve transmissions of analog signals by 428%, then think of the benefits to the more delicate digital signals!!!
