It just started to freeze and the computer would just lock up. After 2 days the card does not even load into windows it just freezes and even when asking for safe mode it freezes. People said it was the PSU but the computer has a 850w Antec TruePower Quattro that was bought from Newegg and is enough to power it. I am very disappointed in this product and in Newegg because after all of the positive feed back i get a defective![]()
Dual 5850s are faster and cooler running than SLI GTx465,please don't spread FUD.
Here's a quote from a customer on your link...

Realistically though at 279 EUR we feel the GTX 465 should compete with a R5850, and that's just not happening.
...
For this product to be sold like hot buns from the oven, it will need to drop below the 250 USD/EUR marker even go to 200 USD/EUR. In SLI the sky is the limit, and you can achieve massive performance thanks to really good multi-GPU scaling. Recommended -- but barely.
Ok here is some benches for ya. In most cases the gtx 465 = a 5850.
The gtx 470 easily beats it.

Nice link but notice how they have to force AA for Ati? That is why it gets trounced by even the 465. It isn't very hard to get the same AA with the device id trick for the Ati, so that is not a good benchmark to go by.
I couldn't see the driver used and the performance analysis is rather debatable especially if they used canned benches as they usually do. Real time performance might be different as stated even by a member here who switched from 5850 to 470, ending up somewhat disappointed.
What stays the same however is the noise/heat/power consumption and these ARE parameters worth of considering. Overclocking is another issue and the 5850 would probably run away from the 465 while keeping the temps/power levels/noise at bay. To say these cards are a match is to dismiss all these things but they can't simply be washed away just to prove a point.
I can appreciate your "enthusiasm" but I would appreciate even more if you could put credit where it belongs. Just my 2c.
Sli gtx 465 review.....as you can see they run at 79c vs 77c for the 5850 and much quieter at 42db vs 42db for a 5830.
Toyota, your a moron do some research and you dont think that a 4 ghz phenom wont keep up with two 465s? http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.c...id=2490&page=2 I am pretty sure Ill be going with the 465 in sli.
Why did they have to force AA with the ATI cards? What's the difference?
Simple answer there is none.
Don't forget to answer why they have to force aa or use some kind of devise id trick.
both cards are at 42db, but somehow the nvidia card is much quieter ?
Because Nvidia didn't allow Eidos to release the improved AA that works with Ati cards. There is a difference, and the fact that you can use the improved AA (standard on other UE3 games) on Ati cards means that benchmark is useless. Besides, they both get minimums above 60 fps, so it's not like nvidia will let him run that game while ati won't.
5850 CF is far and away the better choice, faster and less heat. The 465 is the worst turd out of the full lineup of turds nvidia has out currently.
