5770 is just not enough... sigh... I'll go for the 5850...

you are at 1440x900 and the 5770 is about like a 4870 at that res. thats plenty I think. go ahead a spend 100 bucks more for the 5850 but when you look at reviews for the 5850 go ahead and knock off several fps for the numbers you see at your res with your cpu. too bad they dont have a 5830 out right now because that would be best for you.

exactly.. because the situation is too much (5850) or not enough (5770)

I do agree that the 5770 is just too big of a step slower than the 5850. personally I would be happy with a 5770 at 1440 since it even my slower 192sp gtx260 plays almost every game nearly maxed at even 1920x1080. even at that high res there are very few settings I have to turn down and even then only in 3 or 4 games. heck I lowered my res to 1440x900 just to run some really demanding games and I think it handles everything just fine. anyway just go for the 5850 if you think its worth 100 bucks more. i would certainly try to oc that cpu a bit to make it more worthwhile.

well... I don't know how I could OC my Phenom II X4 920 at 3.3ghz because everytime I push it to 3.3ghz the system would not boot and there's no display... it only displays something when there's no video card present... and the display is like dots... or something...

that's on stock voltage... but I don't want to overvolt when OC'ing.. that's why 3.2ghz is the highest OC i obtained under stock voltages... I hope that it would be sufficient for the 5850...

look at the hardocp review of the 5770. they consider it playable enough for DX10 Warhead at 1920x1200 and most other games at a whopping 2560x1600. of course with Warhead only a few settings were on very high but the rest were on high and even used 16x AF. remember you are only at 1440x900 which is HALF the resolution of 1920x1200. really just get the 5770 and be done with it. plus you can overclock the 5770 a bit more and call it a day.

yeah I know.. but I don't want a card that is lesser than my GTX 260... because my previous GTX 260 is OC'ed to 746/1575/1302 clocks so that's very high, and I think matches the GTX 285's performance (I think) but certainly greater than the GTX 275... so if I pick the 5770 it would be a card lesser than my previous card... and I don't want that...

that's why its an upgrade... 5770 will be a downgrade for me...
