I haven't kept up with aftermarket coolers in a while. I'm considering buying one for my 5770 eventually and wondered if anyone knew what would fit and work well for it. I'm not looking for a silent solution...just something that won't get louder than it is currently, but still cool it more than stock.
I've heard that a number of coolers are too "wide" for the 5770, meaning that they extend past the IO panel. I know someone fit a Zalman VF950 and a Thermalright HR-03, but I'm not sure if they cooled it any better or not.
I do have a VF700 sitting around...the memory heatsinks are gone, but I could get more. I wonder if that would provide better cooling than the stock heatsink (V1)? Like I said, I haven't kept up with this all for a while.
Any suggestions?
