56 Shot, 13 Killed During Father’s Day Weekend in Chicago

Another holiday brought another slaughter of innocents in heavily gun-controlled Chicago. Fifty-six people were shot during Father’s Day weekend, and 13 of those shooting victims died.

According to the Chicago Tribune, “The city recorded its 300th homicide this weekend and went on to record six others over a 60-hour period that saw 56 people shot, 13 fatally, from Friday afternoon through early Monday morning.” From Friday into Saturday alone, five people were killed and another nine were wounded.
This brings the number shot in Chicago to “about 1,800 people” year-t0-date, the Tribune reports.
Breitbart News previously reported that May 2016 was the deadliest May that Chicago has witnessed since 1995. The Tribune reported “nearly 400” people shot and 66 killed in May alone.
Chicago has an “assault weapons” ban, a “violence tax,” and stringent limits on the number of gun stores allow, as well as limits on the locations of those stores. But these controls, and others, have correlated with an empowered criminal element.

When the killers have illegal guns, then yes. Exclude gang members and suicides and suddenly your 2-4x becomes very small if nothing.

We have a demographic /socioeconimic problem, not a gun peoblem.

The best solution to get the right to agree we need stricter gun laws is for minorities to start protecting their right to vote and women to start protecting their reproductive rights with firearms. You'd see new gun laws get passed in under a week.

Well as the democrats proved last week. All it takes is a gay Muslim shooting up a gay club. Elizabeth Warren in particular embarrassed herself last week when tweeting the GOP wants to sell guns to Terrorists(Muslims) when they rejected the bill to allow the govt to deny citizens the right to buy guns if they end up on a secretive list. Forgetting Obamas administration has literally armed terrorist groups. Feinstein wasn't far behind when she went on TV and said people can prove their innocence and get off the watch list. Even though it takes years and is nearly impossible.

Where you have it folks. You have to prove your innocence to the govt to excercise a constitutional right to some of these assholes in congress.

IMO the solution is more guns on the streets so people can protect themselves from these drug thugs. If those 3yo's had guns this may not have happened.
