I really doubt that it is a reliable 551 HP.

The Subaru Boxster engine has always been pretty durable and can take quite a punishment...

Plus these guys did it with Nitrous...

If you look at what some of those Japanese tuners do to the WRX or Lancer EVO, you wouldnt be surprise that these guys can produce 551whp...

That's the steepest dyno curve I've ever seen. Might jsut be the wierd way it's graphed, but damn is it steep!

Anyway, as far as "eat your hearts out!" goes: Bigger numbers than yours.

I thought that curve was quite steep too!

Will those new WRX's beat the new Lancers? I know the new Lancer somewhat outdoes the current WRX, but I would like to see them get stomped. I really don't like them for some reason. =/

What Lancer "outdoes" a WRX? Do you mean the EVO Lancer? A JDM or a Euro spec EVO will give a WRX a run for it's moneyl, but not the current US Lance with it's sad 140 HP 2.0.

I think he's referring to the US spec Lancer EVO coming later this year...

To answer your question, the current WRX would be no match to the upcoming US Lancer EVO... That's why Subaru is coming out with the WRX STi version to combat the EVO threat...
