Just over 100 million smartphones were solid in Q4 with the segment still seeing close to 80% YoY market growth, figure in Androids marketshare and the 300K per day they were quoting in December actually seemed rather low(1.1Million new smartphones activated per day, that leaves them under 30%). Not sure if their sales rate is accelerating as fast as indicated or if they were underreporting sales in December.
I have yet to see any 10" tablets in the hands of people on the street, no matter what flavor. I've seen a bunch of the 7" models floating around on the campus down the street from me, they could be Kindles, Nooks, Galaxies or something else entirely, but none of them have been the 10" class at all. I'm sure plenty of kids on campus are using iPads or 10" tablets of some flavor, but they aren't the most portable of devices(ie- they probaby carry them in their bag, different useage model then the 7" form factor).

First place I checked, iPhone without a contract, pretty easy. I understand what you are saying about no contract phones having a different potential market, but it isn't like you can't get almost any phone without contract easily.
