So prove me wrong. You normally love too.
Or it’s bullshit. As I thought

Much of the alarming climate"facts" that are put out to the public are filtered through biased and partisan media that make errors, either deliberately or accidentally. It's not usually the science that's screwed up, it's the emphasis on unlikely possibilities that are skewed. As far as I can tell, none of the sources in that article are scientific journals. There's one letter from a university, which doesn't even make a specific claim. Otherwise, it's a bunch of newspaper articles. There are certainly people who catastrophize climate change, but unless the predictions are appearing in scientific journals they don't matter. I'm sure you can find people making pretty ridiculous claims about almost anything if you looks hard enough. The important question is 'what are the experts saying?'
It's the Seth Borenstein article from 2008 . It's after The Guardian article from 2004 and before the picture of Al Gore.Hansen’s mentioned one time in the article in a prediction about droughts.

No thanks. You only get a couple of bitch slaps a topic, you already got yours.Link to the study with these predictions please.
Thank youIt's the Seth Borenstein article from 2008 . It's after The Guardian article from 2004 and before the picture of Al Gore.
I think everybody knows that the climate is constantly changing and has been since day 1 of the Earth's existence. Are people a noticeable contributor of that? Debatable. Should we look for ways to be better stewards of our environment? Yes. Should we be handing over our money and control of our lives to politicians that use climate misinformation and half truths? Nope!@SlowSpyder is the climate changing or not changing
If you agree it is changing should we do something about it or not do something about it

Those climate change pimps and Hollywood elites are no different than the likes of the Joel Osteens and any other charlatan that is looking for money and power by using scare tactics and false narratives.
That'll sound super great when you're telling it to your fellow tribe members while huddling around burning garbage once society collapses.I think everybody knows that the climate is constantly changing and has been since day 1 of the Earth's existence. Society is going to collapse from 6 inches of sea level rise by 2100 and a degree increase in temp? I doubt it, but by all means stop using all fossil fuels if you like, quit traveling by auto, planes, trains and boats. No more unclean power usage for you! Go for it!That'll sound super great when you're telling it to your fellow tribe members while huddling around burning garbage once society collapses.
'At least I didn't fall for their dirty liberal tricks!'
Do you even science, bro?Society is going to collapse from 6 inches of sea level rise by 2100 and a degree increase in temp? I doubt it, but by all means stop using all fossil fuels if you like, quit traveling by auto, planes, trains and boats. No more unclean power usage for you! Go for it!
My degree says "yes" How about you?Do you even science, bro?
Your information is outdated. New IPCC climate models predict temperatures as high as +7c by 2100 if carbon emissions are not curtailed, and that the Paris Climate Accord is no longer sufficient to maintain a 2c cap on temperatures, assuming we could even reach the Paris Climate accord requirements.Society is going to collapse from 6 inches of sea level rise by 2100 and a degree increase in temp? Climate change effects to be worse than previous estimates, new study shows
Across Europe, heat waves will become longer and more intense, while the Arctic will be entirely ice-free during summer in the last two decades of this centurywww.business-standard.com
What does your science degree tell you about what a +7c change to our climate would do?

LOL! My Phd in geology and my double masters in climatology beats yours, but since your's is as real as my made up shit, I just made up more things than you.My degree says "yes" How about you?
Sorry, you're considering the high-end markers from climate scientists as 'climate alarmism'? You don't sound like a scientist to me, you sound like someone who conforms scientific results to fit his preconceived notions of what the results should be."as high as" File that with the reason for this entire thread.
We are already ahead of the Accord numbers even though we're not a member of it any longer.
Great article on Hurricanes here though.

'Alarmism enforcement' on hurricanes and global warming - Climate Etc.
by Judith Curry I used to be concerned about ‘consensus enforcement’ on the topic of climate change. Now I am concerned about ‘alarmism enforcement.’ Ever since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, any hurricane causing catastrophic damage has been seized upon by … Continue reading →judithcurry.com
na, it's fun watching SS make a fool of himself.Another BS thread by SS... avoid!
I'm not a scientist, i'm a Geologist (retired) that finds politics and science enjoyable. I also do my due diligence on the subject. I have no problem accepting climate change and the science behind it, what I have a problem with are the people and groups that exaggerate the issue for power, control and profit.Sorry, you're considering the high-end markers from climate scientists as 'climate alarmism'? You don't sound like a scientist to me, you sound like someone who conforms scientific results to fit his preconceived notions of what the results should be.
I'm not sure I've ever seen you post anything but insults? What is wrong with you?
That they may be. That being said, all they did here was compile a lengthy list of incorrect climate change predictions over the years.
I can`t argue with the truth!!! Well said!!I'm not sure I've seen you post anything but playground fake news bullshit and conspiratory innuendo dumbassary, without any attempt to back any of it up by observable, reported, tested fact.
what is wrong with you?
...this is why you are treated like a child. You post like one. You are one. No one respects you. Engage in adult conversation, and the adults will respond so as deserved. Respect is earned. It doesn't shit out of lilies simply because you walk into a room, you tapeworm.
Go back enough years, when this account of yours was resurrected after a ~decade of complete dormancy, simply to post nonsense Trump horseshit, and you'll see, quite clearly, that myself and the other adults gave this account a chance. It was clear, early on though, that this account is posting useless Russian fake bullshit, nonstop, endlessly. This account doesn't have the typical lack of articles and other obvious grammar errors that will out and shut down the average obvious Russian troll, that has dominated the internet in recent years; but the subject matter is always the same. The responses and targeted fake news talking points are always the same. The simple dishonesty and lack of logic is always the same.
You're a fucking troll. A plant. A useless piece of garbage. This account is pointless. It eats bandwidth. If this account thinks it is doing any kind of work by "converting the dumb librals" on this forum, then it is sorely mistaken. It is a failure. This account serves no purpose other than wasting its own time here.

This happens every summer in Greenland, always has.

Oops
Remember that viral sled-on-water picture showing "our ongoing climate catastrophe" (CNN)?
Turns out it is entirely normal, happened in the 1800s, will probably happen *less* with higher temps
But Al Gore wants permission to use it in his slideshowhttps://www.berlingske.dk/samfund/spring-in-greenland-interpreted-as-climate-change-this-is-completely …

Cutting the population by five billion would make a pretty serious dent in the problem.Hey I’m glad you believe it’s changing and I’m glad you agree we should do something.
What would you consider as doing something?
It's something i've been interested in since Sen. Wirth sabotaged a Senate hearing in 1988 that lead to Hansen and Global Warming becoming such a political issue. It's not about science, it's about politics, money and control.
