You forgot the by-far biggest difference that blows up your comparison. Unlike climate change, all the others from anti-vaxxers to flat earthers and alt-med believers aren't asking everyone else on earth to completely and drastically change their way of life and upend their economy otherwise "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE." I've never ever been asked by a flat-earth person to stop driving an SUV or had them attempt to guilt me into transfer payments to the poors because otherwise NYC will be submerged.

Sigh. The activists for ALL of the above DO want you to drastically change your way of life.

Anti-vaxxers want to take you back to the time of plagues.

Alt-med believers want to ban modern medicine.

Climate change deniers want to unwittingly destroy the ideal environment we evolved to live in.

Meanwhile, climate scientists are not worried much about the individual, and focus more on the macro level: switching to clean renewable energy. Your way of life doesn't have to change. Just how it's powered has to change.

But you're too wrapped up in the science denial agit-prop to figure that out.

Crawl out of your echo chamber. You're no different from any other science denialism cult.

Glenn & conservatives in general have all fallen for the "you're being attacked!" routine. So persecuted!

They really don't care about what we should do for future generations, either, because it's all about them, right now.

His reference to the Amish is particularly inane. They believe that electricity is the tool of the devil. They burn wood & coal to cook & stay warm. We can't all live like that.

Democrats cooked up over 10,000 steaks in Iowa... because Green New Deal.

Such hypocrites. Why not a soy fry with vegan only options? Why don't they care about the environment, don't they know climate change is the biggest threat we face? L O L

The US obsession with beef is a bit alien to me, as it happens (Americans eat more of the stuff than anyone other than Argentinians, it seems to be a kind of ideological symbol - when they tried to ration it during the war the opposition was so intense they had to abandon the idea). But if you read your own link you would see they did, in fact, include a vegan option, 10% of the burgers being vegan.

Very weird though the way you seem to be unable to comprehend scientific facts as anything other than some aspect of partisan political competition, as if climate change is an idea of 'the Democrats'. Also weird the way you seem unable to comprehend the idea of tacking climate change through anything other than voluntarist individualist lifestylism. Just generally you seem trapped in a very limited view of the world and unable to get beyond that.

I saw the vegan burger part. That doesn't mean anything regarding my comment... that over 10,000 steaks were cooked. That isn't very progressive, that isn't thinking of the climate first. They're fine with telling everyone else to make sacrifices, but steaks will get more turnout than soy burgers, so in that case it is ok for the Democrats to put the climate behind their objectives. More hypocrisy from the Democrats.

Still dumb as a rock arguments against the science. Crab bisque and salad followed by a nice grilled steak today.

Hahahaha ... so Slows "problem" with the "lefts" message on climate change is that they use it, climate change, to lift them selves into power, as Trump does with white supremacy, without actually giving a damn about the climate.
Slow is angry cause dems take a legitimate course and campagins on it. I mean unlike a effen border wall.
The double standards and hypocrisy of Slow is mind bending ... I am in somewhat awe, my mind would no be able to joggle the paradoxes!!

Again you see it all as some competition in individual lifestyle politics or performative virtue-signalling. That's just infantile. The problem needs action at a governmental level. You clearly oppose that. You are part of the problem.

The lying and cheating eco-nuts aren't doing it because they are nice people, but are looking to extort and hoard wealth while leaving the poor suckers with a load of crap.

-But that's capitalism, right? Sounds like Apple or Nike or any other major company that generates its own demand, then supplies that demand.

Good on the eco-nuts for figuring out how this country works, I wish them the same success I would wish any other budding entrepreneur...

The problem isn't failed predictions but multiple feedback loops that were not predicted. Also, ocean heat content.

Meanwhile, here's the predictions from Parag Khanna, an international relations PHD (so take that with a grain of salt) on what +4c looks like, which is very middle-of-the-road of current predictions for our future.

Anyone up for taking any bets?

I bet that ends up in a failed climate change predictions story like that of the OP, eventually.

It may, but I have no doubt we'll be in the midst of conditions worse than current, and we'll still have people pointing out how 'wrong' it was, while the world burns around them.

Like the 'failed' predictions that came from the government taking the issue seriously and solving the problem? lol. What a terrible failure!

It's funny how many places I've seen that identical list copied and pasted and how many stupid and credulous conservatives have repeated it. If you guys are anything it's easily duped.
