A President who has increased missile strikes against terrorists and sent 30,000 more troops to fight the Taliban (a regime that actively imposed fundamentalist Islamic law) secretly sympathizes with those who want to impose Sharia law because he believes they are oppressed by Western society?

Wat.

That sounds a lot like this.

He doesn't sympathize with those attempting to spread fundamentalist Sharia law at all, and he doesn't think they have been victimized. His only actual actions have been to actively use our armed forces to kill them. He sympathizes with moderate Muslims around the world, and Muslim Americans, who are discriminated against because radicals have hijacked and twisted Islam in an attempt to gain power and exert control over others.

I think he sympathizes with all Muslims, including those fighting to establish Sharia, but your interpretation may be correct. Certainly he has done a pretty good job fighting radical Islam.

Didn't watch Youtube thingy. There is no wisdom to be found on Youtube, and anyway videos take too long. Five minutes of talking equals thirty seconds of reading.

Ah, the youtube link was just a smartass clip from Southpark (The Chewbacca Defense). I had to re-read your post several times because I couldn't quite understand what you were trying to say.

Personally, I do not feel any of his actions towards Muslims in the U.S. or abroad have done anything but strengthen our country. Muslims have the exact same rights to practice their religion in the U.S. that members of other religions do, provided they do not infringe upon the rights of others. I see the way they treat women as no more oppressive than how many Christian churches treat them, the only difference being separate areas of worship.

I do not believe he supports those who want to impose Sharia law, as I can find no evidence from a reputable source that suggests this.
