5 most captivating movie scenes of all-time

Yes, I said 5...not 3 or even 4, but 5 BIG scenes you get to share.

I hope it hasn't been done before, but uncouth and the movie threads got me to thinkin'--first time I've had to in 3 days.

Deer Hunter---the Russian Roulette scene with DeNiro and Walken.
Reservoir Dogs---"Stuck in the Middle With You" scene with Michael Madsen. Whenever I hear Rafferty, I think of that scene.
Saving Private Ryan---the invasion.
Psycho---shower scene. The music still does it for me.
Twilight Zone or Creepshow? (help me here)--the leadin scene with Akroyd and Brooks--Akroyd shows him "something really scary".

Hmmm....why are all my picks violent or scary?

The scene in Saving Private Ryan when the big bald guy gets nailed when he comes out from his cover. When he's laying in the rain holding his letter to his fater out and his friend couldn't grab it from him because he'd be shot too....damn that was harsh...

the scene in ben-hur when he is dying at the end after being run over

saving private ryan when the german is stabbing the american soldier and 'shushing him' with the other american on the stairwell frozen.

saving private ryan, when the ramps lower and the poor bastards in front have no chance

saving private ryan when ryan visits the cemetery at the beginning


those are 5 that i can think of with no problem....just the type of scenes that leave a lump in your throat and emotion takes over.

others that are not quite so 'heroic', but make me a little mesmerizes...one would have to be the whole gimp scene in pulp fiction

and i have to concur with the seven picks...sloth especially and the scene when pitt and freedman run into the whorehouse and the guy is standing there screaming after what he did....you don't see anything, its just pure imagination, and that can be more scary!

Schindler's List - the little boy looking up from where he's hiding in the outhouse or where the families from the train are being marched around naked so that the healthiest can be selected to work and the others sent to the gas chambers

Edit: Oops you said 5...I listed 7. Took off two Indy Scenes. One in the Last Crusades where he crosses the bridge. Two, in Temple of doom, when guy gets heart ripped out.

american beauty-right before the gun shot, and the revelation of who did "it"
