Interesting. Rasmussen (who traditionally overpolls Republicans) has Rubio leading by the same amount as Quinnipiac (who traditionally overpolls Democrats) has Rubio losing. So they must be head to head. That's generally death for the incumbent, but in this case Meek will probably be abandoned by more Dems to avoid having an actual conservative win.

Actually Rasmussen has them tied while most others show Crist with a small lead.

Looks like the seat is up for grabs. Only one thing seems certain: Meek shall not inherit the turf.

I will still laugh my head off if Crist and Rubio manage to kill each other off and Meeks wins in the end.

Six months is an eternity in politics, and America will look different in November, that and the fact that all sides are in fund raising mode now, the political mud slinging and political ads will not really start until after labor day.

And then and only then can we get out our lawn chairs, popcorn, beer, and barf bags to really watch a typical Florida cluster fuck happen again.

Crist seems to be doing well right now. But Rubio is getting a house forclosed on and has other money issues coming up. That and Meeks may not even witn the Dem primary. Seems someone else is getting a lot of talk in the Dem primary.
Seems it is all Crist right now. But yea 6 months is forever.

rubio back in front

And like nick not to link to it to show he may not be in the lead...

"Rasmussen's new poll of the Florida Senate race contains some good news for Republican Marco Rubio -- sort of. Rubio, who's trailing Independent Gov. Charlie Crist in most polls, is up 38%-33% over Crist in Rasmussen's new survey when the Democrat in the race is Kendrick Meek, who trails with 21%. Against the other Democrat, Jeff Greene, Rubio doesn't fare as well -- he trails Crist 37%-36%, while Greene takes third with 20%."

And that is from a republican group.

"The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally, not a 20 percent traitor."

the democrats stabbed Lieberman in the back and twisted the knife; if he could get over that, I'm sure Crist and the GOP will find a way to reconcile their 20% differences.

Lieberman is a piece of trash who is disloyal to americans.

The last poll is rather interesting, I'm not sure what to make of it. If it's Rubio vs Crist vs Meek, the people are solidly in Rubio's corner over the other two. If it's Rubio vs Crist vs Greene it's pretty much a split between Rubio and Crist. What's up with that? In neither case do the voters want anything to do with the democrat, but depending on which one runs they are either for Rubio or Crist? Huh? Am I the only one who finds that strange?

My somewhat point is and remains, most of the Florida electorate are somewhat undecided, and we will not really know where they are until the general election heats up around October.

Then and only then will polling data approach anything predictive of the general election.

New update. Post Democrat primary and Meek's numbers stay the same. Christ is slipping a tad, Rubio gained a tad.
