Got paid for 4 outta 5, I am fairly sure it was a clerical error ;)

Dave

Just received my rebate check yesterday. 4 for 4 on mine for a total of $160. I'm extremely happy!

Sent 6-11. Received 7-18. My rebate didn't show up on the net. Need to call the toll free number on the rebate form. Ask for Susy.

Mine never showed up on the HP webpage either. Just be patient. Any rebate I've sent in for a HP product has come back very quickly (relatively speaking).

Now PNY on the other hand.... :|

Hey, my name's benjamin and I definitely have 4gb of ram in my pants.

Seriously though, this is a hot deal. I might need to pick up some of this for my second comp.

I wish the price would drop down to $15 again. I know the current price is still hot but I'm kicking myself for missing out on the $15 price...

I doubt that RAM prices will go back down before the end of the rebate. If you wait too long, then those who are waiting for a price drop will also engage, forcing these retailers to jack up prices. Best strategy is to buy 1/2 now, and 1/2 later.

I bought 2 sticks from pcsuperstore. On the rebate form, it says I have to circle the price on the receipt I bought the memory. However, I only got 1 page shipping slip without price information, is this gonna be a problem?

Check your email. They should've attached a invoice with one of the emails they sent you regarding the order. :)

Good reseller ratings and they answer their phone quickly. CSR verified that this is the HP Promo stick and that they are an authorized HP reseller
Just placed my order for two, comes to $36.80 AR

Bump for more stock at Techonweb for $16 each + shipping (starts at $4 for one stick).

Edit: Wow, my most successful post by far. Nearly 16k views :Q

Shipping is around $4. Still dirt cheap at $20/GB. HP's rebate is fast. Got my $ in about one month. Bump Vdimm up to 2.0 and you should be able to hit 400MHz speed at 5-5-5-15-2T.

Haha...Susy just called me. I thought you only needed to send in 1 Upc code since they're all the same..but I need all 5. Now I gotta fax them to her :p

$1/pg for faxing at fedex. GG fedex. Remind me to buy a fax machine or AIO printer and get a phone line :D

Just make sure you don't send it back via Reiser mail... it'll probably crash and you'll lose the UPC's

Rebate does not come up on TechOnWeb.com rebate listings however, just got off the phone w/ HP rebate center and techonweb is indeed ok to order from and receive this rebate. Also got off the phone w/ techonweb and they currently have a stack of orders a mile hi for this but have 3200 in stock @ 1130pst 7/26...according to the sales rep they are selling below cost...better jump on it before someone decides better of THAT! :)

yes, great topic Golgatha

edit: couldn't talk them into combined shipping; final cost AR in CA about $24/GB

Wow, ordered yesterday, and it's on the FedEx truck for delivery today! They shipped out of Indiana for me, at least.

They may have a mile high pile of orders, but it looks like they're getting through them fast, ordered yesterday at 1:30pm Eastern. I'll give 'em ResellerRatings for this once I get the entire transaction finished!

If not I am going to stick with the other stuff.

I'm very much a noob at the whole mail-in-rebate thing, and I'm building my first rig here.

I bought 4 sticks of this memory at the same time. This may sound stupid, but I'm not supposed to buy 1 stick individaully to get the rebate am I? And when I send in the rebate form, do I specify that I purchased 4 sticks? And one more thing, what is the claim form that they are referring to when you mail it in?

Thanks for your help, and thanks for the deal.

The first post has a link to the rebate form. The form has 5 spots for serial numbers. 1 form, 1 envelope, up to 5 sticks/rebates. The thread has the rest of the answers, but here's a quick overview. The UPC is the label on the cardboard box each stick comes in, the serial number is on each stick on a label marked S/C (I think... maybe S/N but I remember it being odd). Please circle the item on your receipt, include as many UPCs (copies, not the box) as sticks, and keep a copy of everything you submit for your records.
