I followed the directions so I don't have to worry. It was printed in plain English so why would you not do it?

Anyone that did not circle will probably get shot down unless they made copies. No circle, no copies, no rebate most likely.

I called the HP rebate center today since mine was not showing up online yet. He said it should be showing up by now. That makes me feel good. I also asked about the circle the price thing for you guys, and he said it was not important. Looks like mine might be "lost".
I sure hate the Post office policy of losing rebate mail at a much higher rate than other mail. How do they do that? Hmmmm.

Thanks! That takes away some of the worry.

Like I said, it just makes it easier on them.......

And to some of the other posters, not making copies is by far MORE IMPORTANT than circling the purchase price. Rebates can and do get lost or misplaced, so your copy of the submitted materials is vital and your only proof that you actually sent in a rebate.....

True dat. I always scan everything I send, create a folder for each rebate, and a excel spreadsheet with a line item for each rebate, date sent, comments, etc.. I'm waiting on 1500.00 in rebates right now, I have to have a system

Slightly OT. I've heard "crap!" and "anal" in this thread, so mentioning that I work with a bunch of no-talent-ass-clowns who only aspire to be ass-hats isn't entirely OT.

Do serious rebaters send things with delivery confirmation? For most rebates, it would kill the profit, but when you're dealing with hundreds, a couple extra bucks to the US Post Office doesn't seem as crazy as not following the directions or making photocopies.

I don't ever use delivery confirmation because the percentage of lost mail is pretty low. In the event that the rebate gets lost, I can usually fax them the copies to get my rebate which for me costs nothing....

This one does not actually stipulate that you MUST circle the purchase price, it requests that you do. "Please" is a request, not a requirement. ;)

How is the deal "back" when its $23.40 a stick after rebate now ($93.60 for 4GB)? That's still good, but not "$63.96" good.

The deal was "back" on 6/18 that's nearly a month ago... you expect the dude to monitor the deal for a month? Besides... You've still got a couple weeks on the rebate, just keep an eye on the price if you want it that bad.

Geezzz. I called HP at 800-504-2007. Gave them Offer Code OPT-O22.
They have no idea what that offer code is. I tell him they are probably getting THOUSANDS of the rebates, they better know what it is, like real soon. I'm faxing over the paperwork right now. No excuse for this type of crap.....

Mailed my forms on 6/11. No show at the HP website. Call PR and they said that it could take up to 6 weeks to update the rebate list! They gave me a fax number to fax in the forms for faster processing. Going to check with the local phone company to see if this is a local call.

I normally would not bother calling until 6 weeks had passed on most rebates, but the rep told me on Monday they should have seen them by then, so that's when I called again today

Here's the fax number they gave me: 877-646-3718. I'm pretty sure this call center is not part of HP since he mentioned my other rebates he saw on his screen, like my Samsung monitor rebate. Unless HP does other companies rebate work, and I doubt that.

Mine does not show up either and I got in early. Anyone having any results with them at least acknowledging that the rebate is valid?

Good news! My rebate is in the system. Have my claim ID #. Check approved. Should get my $ within one week. Only turned-in the original UPC symbol outside the box. GO HP.

Call 800-504-2007 and ask for Susy. Your rebate should also show up in the system if you mail the forms around 6/11/07. To expedite processing, you can fax your copies to 404-648-1302 (suppose to be toll-free but check with your local phone company first before you dial), or e-mail the scans to REBATES.BPO@HP.COM...attention SUSY. She has been very helpful. A+ for service.

Now go and get some HP RAMs if you are still on the sideline. The rebate is legit!

BTW, rebate center is moving from PR to Mexico. That may explain the delay in posting.

Good luck to all.

bye bye US jobs. Go NAFTA/CAFTA!!!

People were weary about sending rebates to PR, Mexico will really turn people off.
