Are Nvidia's comparable cards even close in price? The GTX 285, while overall faster, is around $300. The GTX 275 is $250, same for the GTX 280. According to most benchmarks, the 280 and 275 are beaten by the 4890 at 1680x1050 and 1920x1200 and tie/pull ahead at 2560x1600.
But as far as price/performance? I'd have to say AMD is still ahead. At $183, the MSI 4890 OC at eWiz is only around $20 more than a GTX260 216.

I was half guessing that they were. I knew that they were more, but not by how much. Ive been out of the loop for awhile, and dont follow video cards like I used to. Just got back to the States.. things have changed. $183 for the fastest single CPU card, a week after its release is crazy. I paid $630 for two 6800GTX a month after launch.
