4870 Overscan Issue

I need some help. Recently my 4870 has developed a problem with overscanning in games. Just FYI, I'm using a Samsung 1080p TV. Anyway, It's always overscanned by default, but I always used to go into CCC and correct it, and all was good. However, with the 11.11 drivers, it started to go back to default when Civ5 booted up, and won't go back to the corrections that I put into CCC. When I quit, or ctrl+alt+del back to desktop the overscan corrects, but when I re enter the game the overscan returns, moving many of the buttons off the edge of the screen, and making the game unplayable. I stopped playing Civ5 for a month because of this. Now, having just updated to the new 11.12 drivers, SoSE does the same thing, which is really frustrating.

I don't want to go back to the old drivers (if I can even find them) because I'm worried about how that will affect Skyrim. Does anyone have any solutions? All the hits on google seem to be over a year old, and given that I didn't have a problem with the same setup back then, I doubt they'd be applicable today.

update: Previous answers on Google had said "change overscan/underscan on your monitor. My TV didn't have an option for that, but changing it from "Force 16:9" to "just scan" settings fixed it. I may need to change the text settings on the desktop tho, as it looks distinctly different than before (and tougher to read on my 40" TV 24" from my face)

I would recommend downloading a program like driver sweeper. Then follow the instructions in its readme. I have a 32" 1080P TV as my computer monitor. Sometimes when I update the drivers, it won't remember my overscan settings, and I'll have to reset them in CCC after every reboot. Every time that happens, running driver cleaner pro (older program that I don't think is available for download any more) according to its readme and then reinstalling the drivers does the trick. I assume that driver sweeper will function the same way.

Edit: If it's harder to read and looks kind of blurry, then I'm guessing that the TV is scaling the picture instead of using 1:1 pixel mapping. So, changing it to "just scan" probably turned off 1:1 pixel mapping. I recommend putting it back to Force 16:9 and trying the above instructions to fix the problem. Setting the overscan to 0 should take care of all scaling issues, assuming your TV is set to correctly do 1:1 pixel mapping.
