Celcius

Which is -49 Fahrenheit

Yeah...they are the same almost at this temp..

I hate visiting my parents for Xmas sometimes 🙁 Tommorow my spit will freeze before it hits the ground

In North Bay Ontario btw

I hear ya. It is supposed to be sunny and -21f standing tomorrow. At some point C or F it is just "Fucking Cold".

weather.com on my tomorrow:

Windy. Snow during the morning will transition to snow showers during the afternoon. High 22F. Winds W at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snowfall around one inch. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

There is no way I could live in a climate like that. DC/NYC is about as cold as my body will let me get for any long periods of time. I guess that is what I get for being raised in CA...heh

Yep I've felt that weather. I recall a month of it when I was in high school. I walked to the school (lived a few blocks away) then got there to find out it was cancelled, so walked back. Fun. What's really cool is when at night you see ice crystals under lights. Really cool effects.

When it's not windy it actually gives a whole new meaning to "holy night". More like "Holy shit it's cold, but look at the light, it's so pretty!"

Though it's not really that bad if you're dressed for it. Go shovel (or play street hockey eh) for half an hour and the coat and hat will be off.

Yeah with no wind its actually pretty awsome, it feels like your cleaning your lungs with each breath. Wind makes it suck though, hard 🙁

haha, I love reading NWS or weather.com when it's that cold. It usually reads something like "frostbite in exposed skin in 15 seconds and hypothermia in 5 minutes"

4 degrees F, -15 F windchill here at the moment. I was just outside for half an hour and was actually surprised to see what the temperature was when I came back in. I'm apparently getting used to it. I'm still hating it. I HATE chopping ice out of water buckets.

I'm suppose to go chop 6 cords tommorow for my grandpa..

Think we might have to postpone that.

btw, test the spit thing out. I don't know if anyone's really definitively figured out the temperature at which this happens, except for very cold. (Definitely below 40 below.) 20 below isn't nearly cold enough.

I would love to be able to pour a glass of water out on the ground and have it freeze instantly as I am pouring the water out.

Here's a trick, take some hot coffee or just hot water and throw it in the air. It should turn into a ball of steam.

It's currently -12 °C/ 8.6 °F, air temp.

Coldest I've ever seen was in Medicine Hat (Canada) at -49 °C / -56.2 °F.

This is where I'm headed to in a months time, http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/caab0124 . Errrrrrr

haha you'd probably need more like -100 for that. Spit hits the ground in a bit under a second and the fact that it contains all sorts of nasty germ chemicals probably brings the freezing point lower then just water. Though tears tend to freeze or get a little thick if you eyes water when it's -50. I've never had it turn to actual ice though, it just gets super cold and feels like it's about to freeze.

now, spitting gum out of a car on the highway. That's asking to break someone's windchill. 😛 (no not really)

I only time I seen water turn into ice almost instantly is when they poured of glass of water over a car's windshield.

lol fun. That would be a nasty prank. Get the wipers too. 😛

Actually I need to rig up some molds, would be fun to make some ice decor. One year my mom bought these ice urns to decorate the yard. This guy had made special molds and would make them and sell them, decent profit too for something so easy to make once equipped for it. They were for burning candles outside. On Christmas eve last year we did the church yard, was awesome. All ice urns with candles in them.

i think it freezes on impact at -45 but freezes before the ground at -60?...remember it from some random movie

oh calgary weather...-21 maybe -25 with windchill
