Will a PCI USB work if my regular USB's on my Epox Board don't work any more? oh yah, my floppy controller doesn't work either. They don't show up at all anymore under my devices for some reason.
This would be a cheaper solution then replacing the board. i just need my USB's!!

Anybody get this? I ordered 9-16, never got a response. They don't track orders on their website.

I got one too, hot deal!

Also picked up the SD/SMMC PCMCIA Reader for 7.50...and lo and behold, even when combined, without a combo specification, still no shipping charge!

I need some more internal USB ports, do these kinds of cards usually have only one internel port? The externel and internel ports work simultaneously correct?

beware of these cards on the yahoo shopping, i got one a while ago for really cheap off of some yahoo store and the drivers it came with suck, and they reboot my computer every second time i plug in my mp3 player (i leave it on and when i plug it in it reboots frequently). Works great in linux tho.

There's another with deal for USB PCI from Buslink. it's more expensive, but if you are concern about driver support, buslink might be better?

another thread

ok, I have a question about the internal port. I have NO IDEA how this port is supposed to be used or what its supposed to be used for, could someone kindly explain it to me. Thanks.

you read the thread at all ...:light:anyway it (this card) provides an internal(inside of the machine/comp in question) header(place to plug leads i.e. plug/wires into) to allow USB-enabled peripherals to be connected that are mounted in the machine(i.e. like the afore-mentioned cardreader or even just front mounted USB hubs/bus/ports) without running said cabling from around the backside of said (and/or cutting holes/knockouts) machine.. :)

Has anyone ever seen a USB PCI card that has the intel-style motherboard header on it for the internal connection? I am looking to put a cheap motherboard without the USB header into a case that has front panel USB ports that use the motherboard connectors instead of a A-type plug. Kinda off-topic, but I've searched high and low and come up with nada.

Ok, this is the second USB 2.0 card I installed, and I have the same problem as I did with the first card I installed. When I stick the card in, turned on the computer, it starts beeping and nothing boots up. So I took out the card and everything works fine. With my first card, I thought the card was defective so I returned it. So I bought this one. Whats the problem? Or is it just my motherboard?
